I'm not sure whether or not my family thought it was vulgar that I snapped a few photos while we were at the cemetery burying my uncle. Many of them are the types to take pictures of the corpse in the casket, so I don't see how a little documentary work on my part would be frowned upon...

This is the cemetery where most of my mother's family is buried. We had just been here a week and a half prior to this to bury another uncle (an aunt's husband.) Same funeral home, same cemetery, time after time.

Crimson Velveteen with cream cheese icing from VCTOTW

(my friend Kelly had me babysit her class' monarch butterfly chrysalis while she was away for the weekend. It hatched. The kids in her class named it stripes, I guess when it was still a caterpillar)

Fletch helped me release Stripes after the hatching. They bonded.

It's been awhile since I've had snapshots of the kid.

Kelly bought me one because I'd never had one before

My new red-ish shoes.

Testing my FE again, which hasn't worked properly since May or so!

I bought this film for 99 cents at a thrift store. This film would've been bad to begin with, but I sure it is majorly expired. Oh well. At least it looks like FE may be back in business!

Somebody got new glasses while I was at Cornerstone.

My aunt ended up having to act as the officiant at my uncle's funeral (her younger brother.) She preached an old-fashioned Pentecostal sermon during the funeral. That's because that's the type of family we are.

I don't know why this looks so "fashion photography" to me.

(probably would be more compelling NOT in black and white, since the rubberband ball was brightly colored.)

Coming soon: a photo of mom with her cake

Jeanne's necklace - she says it says "Shantih", meaning "the peace which passeth all understanding" in Hindi.

My first attempt (feeble, though it may have been) at a buttercream transfer so I could make Nick's long-awaited Yoda cake.

This is the photo I used, with permission from the photographer.

yay! I have a computer again! It's been a few weeks, hence the fact that I'm just now uploading these film shots from Easter...

My niece was playing a game with me. She had ALL these different colors of plastic Easter eggs. She'd take all the eggs of one color, and put a piece of candy in one of the eggs. I'd then have to guess which one it was in. The prize was that I got to eat the candy. This went on and on...I told her we had to stop before she put her poor aunt into some sort of diabetic state.

Looks as if Mom's been hanging out with biker chicks.

Finally have a table in my kitchen area, so I don't have to take all my meals on my bed, where the TV is. A table where I can do things like have my coffee, instead of sitting with it on my bed and usually spilling some on my sheets.
