Happy Fence Friday Flickr Friends
I came across this ordinary fence while walking Mabel, the light was stunning, I had already taken the bright red Carnation from a bunch of flowers I had at home hoping to find a creative moment on my dog walk. I pulled the flower from my camera bag along with my NikonDF and 'Made my own Spring'. I had my lens wide open at f/1.2 which has given me some beautiful, soft and dreamy bokeh and I also hope a fun point of focus on the Carnation. All this was achieved whilst holding onto a very mischievous Mabel who was trying to jump up and steal the flower... thats dogs for ya :)))
Please, don’t try to reproduce this at home if you are not a Shaolin like me.

Opening day of Carmel-by-the-Sea Car Week is a sight to see. It starts off with the Concours for a Cause; owners lining the streets of Carmel with their treasured motor gems, and ends with the Granddaddy of them all; The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. I love the tradition of attending opening day. A few photos from yesterday’s event.
Enjoy,

I met Bob in his record shop; Vinyl Revolution in Pacific Grove. He is quite a character. Chatting with him reminded me of growing up with bell-bottoms & classic record albums…gathering with friends on a Friday evening listening to Rock’n’Roll .
