Alaskan nights in the summer are short on the dark and heavy on the light. It's mid July and the offical sunset time is 11:20pm. Sunrise is around 4:50am.

Experimented with full blur bokeh - I promise, it was before we went to the pub ;) Was fascinated by the light balls created by some interestingly designed street lanterns.

The RV Sikuliaq is an American research vessel owned by the National Science Foundation and operated by the University of Alaska Fairbanks School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences. Built in 2014 by Marinette Marine Corporation in Marinette, Wisconsin, the $200 million versel named after the Iñupiaq word for "young sea ice" and pronounced "see-KOO-lee-auk", will be homeported in Seward, Alaska.
