This is one of the serie pictures I created for L'Autre Oeil Gallery from Blaize and Eve Nightfire.
It was an honor to be part of their months Theme.
After a long week of sickness and not being online
(some might have noticed 👅 ) .....
I found my way to the pc again and thought this might be a nice way to celebrate, that I'm feeling better again !
This challenge was initiated by Ivoceno Rossini
and I was challenged by Blaize Nightfire on the 10th february.

The last melody lingers—challenging, yet deeply thought-provoking—pulling me gently into a rabbit hole of songs, emotions, and half-forgotten memories. Thank you for leading me into that beautiful descent.
The piece I keep circling back to is “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel. He once said it was “a love song that carried two different meanings: the devotion to a divine being and a romantic relationship.” But to me, it has always been more than that—an anthem of devotion and perseverance, of pride and vulnerability, of longing, abandonment, and quiet hope.
I’ve listened to it through so many seasons of my life, and each time it reveals something different, as if reshaping itself to meet me where I am. That ability to transform, to remain alive across time, is what makes it, in my heart, undeniably timeless.

The Challenge:
We invite you on a little fantasy journey and ask you, to imagine this scenario:
'You will be sent to an abandoned island on your own, you will be allowed only one piece of music, just one melody, one song of your own wish, to carry with you?
Which last melody would you chose to bring?'
Had this photo in the wings for a bit, it's one of the last photos I took before getting my new card and is a big reason why I did it. It was one of the very few nights I get a year alone since my husband was actually out and my kid went to sleep, I get MAYBE 2 or 3 of these a year, and I tped over to do a photo shoot with a photographer who's work I loved only for him to tp out moments later since real life needed him, but I chose to wait (knowing he wouldn't return) and enjoy the beach on my own, since I never got to see pretty places and I was amazed I wasn't crashing, probably because I was alone.
Fast forward a day or two and I crashed another 8-10 times and it's why I upgraded, because I got tired of never seeing those pretty places I'd see in photos all the time. This night that I sat at the fire "alone" though I spent the whole night making a new friend, lost in IMs with Warrior Nightfire. That's what makes SL beautiful to me is that you can be with someone, without even being with them. It's the true thing that pulled me to the internet at such a young age back when AOL would mail you CD's and try to charge you by the minute. The fact that loners like me, kids without siblings their age or parents who gave a damn or friends that cared could find away to not be alone.
I'm still amazed at how far it's come, and seeing SL today and almost really for the first time ever now that I can view a sim, lag or not, without my computer crashing seconds later and making me wait 30 minutes to reboot, is amazing.
Super excited to announce to you that 3 of my pictures have been selected to be part of L'autre Oeil. "Still Life" exhibit.
