NAVAL AIR FACILITY MISAWA, Japan (July 18, 2012) Aviation Electronics Technician 1st Class Nicholas Turner, a native of Clearlake, Calif., serves as flight deck controller, while his EA-18G Growlers perform pre-flight checks. Turner is a member of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 132, which is currently deployed to Naval Air Facility Misawa. A P-3 Orion aircraft belonging to Patrol Squadron (VP) 8 can be seen in the background; both VAQ-132 and VP-8 are operating out of this northern Japan-located U.S. naval installation.
