Various skiing, adventure travel and winter sports in the region of Lienz in the Austrian Tyrol. AdventureAustria are based in Lienz and organise winter and ski holidays to this beautiful region.
Urbex in Georgia. It's unknown to us, what this building has been. We thought a Hotel. It was situated on a very nice place, with a beautiful view on the Caucasus Mountains.
This was the very dangerous road, we drove on. Passing was almost impossible. We had to stop here, because furtheron there was a Landslide and we couldn't pass it, so we had to go back.

British artist Bruce Munro transforms St.Andrew Square Garden, Edinburgh into a Field of Lights.
There are 9,500 lighted glass spheres which rise up from the ground on slender stems to create a multi coloured glow of lights which slowly dissolve and change colour and sway gently in the breeze like a field of flowers.

I was actually seating on top of a big rock, but this would be a good place to jump and be in free fall.
國家地理協會(National Geographic Society)日前在澳洲大堡礁東南方64海浬處上空拍攝到這座無人島嶼的照片。小島實際上是沉積成型在一枚已經鈣化的遠古巨硨磲蛤(Hippopus)的上殼。目前紀錄上所發現最大的活體巨硨磲蛤殼長約僅為十五公尺(1997年於菲律賓外海)，科學家表示，這枚巨硨磲蛤至少已有三千五百萬年以上歷史。

Trying out a cheap set of ND filters on a Photography club outing.
I've always wanted to try out those long daylight exposures shots but wasn't prepared to fork out a load of cash just on a whim
So I bought a cheap set of 8 ND filters + Cokin P Holder and 9 lens adaptor rings and Hood for only £12.99, less than the price of 1 cokin filter
They work well,get the effect you want white balance can be an issue so need to set it to manual and use a white card or you can fix it in post processing.
Still a work in progress but if I get the bug I can buy the better Cokins and still use the same Holder.
I have to mention on this trip, one of the guys was using Lee Filters (£115 each)!! Misjudged the position of his tripod leg, It toppled over and Bam, one cracked filter,camera was Ok, I felt his pain

The Royal Meridien Hotel in Shanghai. The elevator played various sounds--aquarium bubbles, rain forest birdsong, "Amazing Grace"; we couldn't quite figure out whether it was keyed to different elevators or to the time of day. I think we'd need to spend at least a week there to come to a conclusion. During which we would have to sample each and every breakfast buffet station, which ranged from dim sum to sushi to Indian curry to home-baked breads to watch-while-it's-cooked omelets. And more.
