These old bricked up doors always intrigue me. I drive past this every time I go to the office and think "that would make a good subject for a photo". And whilst I do think it would make a good subject it would need to be done with more effort that I gave this quick snap out of the car window driving past.

I always wonder what it was that needed a door in the past that no longer needs a door now?

Stephenson Nature Preserve in south Austin, Texas

is a popular on-the-go Korean dish made from steamed white rice (bap) and various other ingredients, rolled in gim (sheets of dried laver seaweed) and served in bite-size slices. Similar to Japanese makizushi - but whereas the essence of Japanese sushi is vinegared rice, gimbap does not use rice vinegar but rather sesame oil. The fillings are individually seasoned and cooked, yielding an interesting combination of textures and flavors. Everything is well seasoned, so gimbap is not served with sauce.

This was a very delicious snack. Could not eat this huge portion, and took some leftovers home!

Finally caved. I went into the Carphone Warehouse today, gave them my credit card, and they gave me the phone I've been looking forward to. No wasting time on the broken Google Play website, no waiting for stock, no potential 9 week shipping delay. Priceless.

Indeed, priceless is not far off given the (very) considerable premium I had to pay to get it now instead of waiting for Google to get stock. Hopefully it's worth it!

The Nexus4 camera has been playing up again - though mostly when in poor light and trying to use flash. This is just a test in good light to make sure that it does actually take pictures.
