A mother Eastern Grey Kangaroo and her baby taken at Woodland Historic Park last week.
Seems like not so long ago my beautiful eye-rolling teenager was a toddler at my side.
My job over the next few weeks is to get her through the next week of study and through her final exams so I wont' be around quite as much on Flickr. My VCE exams were about 40 years ago but I remember it all so clearly and how it felt in way too much detail.
She is quite unwell at the moment so our stress levels are pretty high. I am taking deep breaths and just know I need to be there for her.
Apologies if I don't do alot of commenting.
I know the light affected how I looked in the photos before this one. Sometimes in the morning I look at myself in the mirror and think, not so bad for someone turning 81 next month, then I wander downstairs and see myself in the broad daylight in the mirrors down there and scream.
the world should only allow pale pink lightbulbs.
these have not been an easy two years for any of us.
I really shouldn't complain.
but I do.
Three strong oxen were living in the bush. one red, white and black. One day a lion came upon them and wondered how he might eat the three oxen. The lion realized that he could not attack all the three oxen at the same time . He made a plan to divide them and eat them one by one.
The lion came to the red & black oxen and told them that the white ox was spoiling the bush where they lived. He suggested that the white ox should be killed in order to save the environment. Unknowingly the two oxen thought that the lion was right and allowed him to kill and eat the white ox.
After few days, the lion again came to the red ox and told him that the black ox was arrogant and was intending to kill him (the red ox). The lion suggested that he should protect the life of the red ox by killing the black ox. The red ox agreed the lion’s plan and killed the black ox.
After few days the lion came to the red ox and said, “It is now your time to die.”
The red ox now understood the planned trick of the lion, but was powerless .
The red ox said to the lion,
“You killed me when you killed the white ox.”
Enjoy a view of Toronto's urban development from Bathurst Street Bridge. All the railroads lead to the city's landmark Union Station.
Believe it or not, Toronto has experienced a significant amount of land reclamation over the past century. Decades prior to the construction of the CN Tower, condominiums, and apartments seen here, there was a time that this entire scene was part of Lake Ontario! The city has essentially extended southwards since the early 20th century.

Europe, Greece, Attika, Athens, Line 1, Metro station, Passengers, EMU (cut from B&T)
Returning to the Athens portfolio. It's been a while.
The Athens Metro rapid transit system covering Greater Athens and East Attica is operated by STASY (Urban Rail Transport SA). Some figures: system length: 97 km; annual ridership: 5 million passengers; number of stations: 66; Number of railcars: 294.
Shown here is a 'First generation' electric trainset (EMU) built by Alstom Siemens Adtranz in 2000. The yellow tube fitted next to the rails ('the third rail') provides electric current to the trains.
This is number 39 of the Athens/Piraeus album: here and 700 of Canon EF-S 17-85 IS USM.
Not really, at least not anymore. The Agawa Canyon Tour Train rapidly approaches the remote town of Searchmont, where a ski resort used to draw hundreds who would ride the Algoma Central to go ski. The town is barely a blip on the GPS, the depot is nearly ready to collapse, and the ski resort does not draw the people it used to back in the day to warrant a train. Today, like every day it runs, it will just run right by.
Well,if you're in a hurry to get back to work you can forget about getting on this bus.The shot is the original of a processed one I shared last year (see link). It was taken at 59th St near Columbus Circle in Manhattan.
Marcos Rivera shared a photo with you from the Flickr app! Check it out:
Couldn't resist snapping this on my way home.
It was still bitterly cold though - you can tell there was a stiff breeze coming from the east by the damp patch next to the fountain.
