It’s a recycled tiles panel with about 4,5 meters representing the figure of a Muscovy Duck. The tiles panel of this figure came about from an idea of the Project Travessa da Ermida to produce an artistic installation on the Tropical Botanic Garden wall parcel, perpendicular to Travessa do Marta Pinto, where the project is situated. For this purpose Pedrita Studio was invited and presented this proposition involving and connecting both spaces.

Trauer um Herbert Pichler

Der Aktivist für Selbstbestimmung und Gleichstellung für Menschen mit Behinderung ist bei einem Unfall am 3. April verstorben.

Herbert Pichler war Präsident des Österreichischen Behindertenrates und Präsident des ÖZIV Bundesverbandes.

In dieser Funktion war er ein großer Freund und Förderer des Behindertensports.

ÖBSV-Generalsekretär Matthias Bogner: "Herbert unterstützte den ÖBSV in seiner Ansicht, dass Menschen mit Behinderung durch Bewegung und Sport mehr Mobilität, Lebensfreude und Selbstsicherheit erlangen und sich dadurch auch besser in die Gesellschaft integrieren lassen. Das vorzeitige und unfassbare Ableben von Herbert hinterlässt eine schmerzliche und kaum zu schließende Lücke."

Brigitte Jank, Präsidentin des ÖBSV: "Herbert war von seiner Aufgabe für Menschen mit Behinderung beseelt. Der heimische Behindertensport verliert einen überzeugten und überzeugenden Fürsprecher. Die Behindertensport-Community trauert um eine außergewöhnliche Persönlichkeit."
