Today's shot is something I found in my archive and wanted to share. Do you remember when paper sellers sold newspapers outside transport hubs, or handed out free time fillers to see commuters through the ride home. Now we get our fake news from multiple devices and paper sellers have got proper jobs in the gig economy. Now isn't that a change for the better?

The final two shots in this series, Porto in Portugal. The street photographer holding up the news sheet facsimile had taken a picture of me, shown in the news sheet and I returned the compliment.
Finally some friends of the deceased woman appeared today.
Henri will go to her best friend, who happened to be the woman who rescued Henri from the abusive owners. In other words, he goes back to a place and people that he knows and probably loves. There are other horses there. Other animals as well.
The 3 dogs have been adopted by two families.
It seems like a happy end. I say “it seems” because nothing has been done yet.
I am a bit sad because I started getting attached to Henri but c’est la vie!
I am happy I was able to help him when nobody else was available. He would have been taken by the Animal Control if I was not around to care for him. That would have been a very traumatic experience for them. Most animals who are taken by Animal Control end up euthanized or sent to slaughter
After my incapacity benefit was stopped earlier this year (despite the fact that I really am ill and I'm getting worse) I decided to appeal. Today was the day of the tribunal and this time the doctor actually listened to me (the last one didn't even seem to be in the same room as me after I read the report) and I won my appeal, yay! Goes to show that there is justice out there sometimes.

Interrupting the street portrait series in light of a Tsunami Warning. The monster 8.8 earthquake in Chile has apparently generated a Tsunami that we will experience, to some degree in Malibu! Hawaii is apparently going to get the worst of it.
This shot was taken moments ago from my deck, which hopefully will still exist by the end of the day.
Let's pray for the Chileans.
Catching up in the grounds of Carlisle Cathedral.
Dating back to the 12th century some of the ground arches are in need of renovation.
Sad news in the Peregrine World...Joli the resident female from the Logan site was found dead Oct 18th. 2017 of unknown cause ?
As humans we should not become attached but it's hard not too...she was hands down my favourite Peregrine to photograph.
2012 Joli was with Cowboy (Brandon hatch 2000)
2014-2017 with Hart (Radisson hatch 2012)
Along with her mates they produced 19 chicks...6 females and 13 males.
Joli will be missed.
I woke early this morning to the sombre news that Queen Elizabeth II had died. While I won't call myself a rabid monarchist I am saddened by her passing. My mother was born in the same year and used to measure her health and fitness against the Queen, until Mum's death 7 years ago.
The Queen's idea of service, duty and faith was an inspiration to many. RIP QE II.
In a time of massive change in the world this is one that the UK and the Commonwealth will have navigate.

Okay so things said in my formspring
weren't what i expected at all.
and i'm disappointed that people would
say things so hurtful. When photography
is a dream of mine even tho im not as
good as others. I really dont know much
about photography yet tell i take classes.
And i know i can do better.
i put in comments the things that were said. At this point i feel like just quitting
flickr all together. I am deleting alot
of images as well. and dont except images any time soon!

On Sunday afternoon a building which held the Appliance Service Center, A & B Pawn Shop and the Christ Fellowship Worship Center was destroied by a fire. The building which is located on Lowell Road near Cox Road in Ranlo caused traffic to be rerouted and train service to be stopped as firemen from all over the county fought the fire for hours. Here, firefighters retreat from their position on the roof as flames shoot out from the front of the Appliance Service Center.
