Opening at Peter Hay Halpert Fine Art, NYC
The final two shots in this series, Porto in Portugal. The street photographer holding up the news sheet facsimile had taken a picture of me, shown in the news sheet and I returned the compliment.
After my incapacity benefit was stopped earlier this year (despite the fact that I really am ill and I'm getting worse) I decided to appeal. Today was the day of the tribunal and this time the doctor actually listened to me (the last one didn't even seem to be in the same room as me after I read the report) and I won my appeal, yay! Goes to show that there is justice out there sometimes.
Day 179 of 365 Days
Finally some friends of the deceased woman appeared today.
Henri will go to her best friend, who happened to be the woman who rescued Henri from the abusive owners. In other words, he goes back to a place and people that he knows and probably loves. There are other horses there. Other animals as well.
The 3 dogs have been adopted by two families.
It seems like a happy end. I say “it seems” because nothing has been done yet.
I am a bit sad because I started getting attached to Henri but c’est la vie!
I am happy I was able to help him when nobody else was available. He would have been taken by the Animal Control if I was not around to care for him. That would have been a very traumatic experience for them. Most animals who are taken by Animal Control end up euthanized or sent to slaughter

No me gustan los periódicos... no me gustan las malas noticias, en especial las que hablan de guerras y de tanta y tanta gente que muere inocentemente... he buscado alguna alegría entre todas ellas, pero ni con lupa la he encontrado!!
A couple of weeks ago, I put on sale "My Ringed leather Eyepatch" but I was not satisfied with the final result. They are now on sale "My Ringed Leather Eyepatch V2" with enhanced textures and with stitch detail. Now I'm satisfied with the result, and I hope you do too :D
**Important: The first version will be removed from sale

Here a man reads his newspaper while presumably waiting for his customers to arrive. From the clothes, boots, shoes and oddly named boxes, it’s not always clear what the shop is actually selling.

Sad news in the Peregrine World...Joli the resident female from the Logan site was found dead Oct 18th. 2017 of unknown cause ?
As humans we should not become attached but it's hard not too...she was hands down my favourite Peregrine to photograph.
2012 Joli was with Cowboy (Brandon hatch 2000)
2014-2017 with Hart (Radisson hatch 2012)
Along with her mates they produced 19 chicks...6 females and 13 males.
Joli will be missed.
I often turn to poetry in times of distress. Rumi is a favorite. This morning I turned the page to this:
Outside, the freezing desert night.
This other night inside grows war, kindling.
Let the landscape be covered with thorny crust.
We have a soft garden in here.
The continents blasted,
cities and little towns, eveything
becomes a scorched, blackened ball.
The news we hear is ful of grief for that future,
but the real news inside here
is there is no news at all. ~Rumi, 13th century Sufi poet
Okay so things said in my formspring
weren't what i expected at all.
and i'm disappointed that people would
say things so hurtful. When photography
is a dream of mine even tho im not as
good as others. I really dont know much
about photography yet tell i take classes.
And i know i can do better.
i put in comments the things that were said. At this point i feel like just quitting
flickr all together. I am deleting alot
of images as well. and dont except images any time soon!
ps. reason for being lots of pics of me
is i dont have no one else to take pics of like all you guys have your own damn models.
gahh idk if this day could get any worse.
i wrote my replies in comments....
I woke early this morning to the sombre news that Queen Elizabeth II had died. While I won't call myself a rabid monarchist I am saddened by her passing. My mother was born in the same year and used to measure her health and fitness against the Queen, until Mum's death 7 years ago.
The Queen's idea of service, duty and faith was an inspiration to many. RIP QE II.
In a time of massive change in the world this is one that the UK and the Commonwealth will have navigate.
Long live the king!
