Kostum Kult Black and Light Ball 2014.
All images are streight from camera. I shall probably replace them when I get to them in my post processing cue.
For this event I used:
A Full Frame Camera - so maximum light absorbtion because of the size of the sensor. Shooting in AV mode at iso 640, so I wouldn't have to constantly fiddle with exposure settings in the dark.
A Sigma 35mm F/1.4 Art. I wanted to be close, to accentuate things, to be able to shoot without flash to capture the UV effects of clothes and makeup, to make most use of a ringlight which has a significant falloff.
On the camera I had a larger than average constant ringlight with a diffuser And A flash set to E-TTL II positioned for bounce. I used both only in IMG_0840A. Mostly used the ringlight or no light.
Both those lights on the camera at the same time looked pretty dang sick!
That set up allowed me to be ready for any desired lighting in this low light environment with almost no adjusting of the needed. The only thing I had to do was turn the knob of the ring light.

Mermaid Parade Coney Island 2018

This is the yearly celeberation of Holi Hai celebrated by the Indian community in New York.
They dance to traditional and contemporary Indian music, toss pigment powder at everyone.
There are other Holi Hai events in the city but those are pretty much just messy raves. This was a community event.
These images looked waaay better on 3d tv than as blue cyan anaglyphs. I had to make half color anaglyphs for several of them.

3D image from Festival of Colors Holi Hai at Brooklyn, The Yard @ C-PAC, May, 3rd, 2014.
You need blue red 3d glasses to see these correctly.
These images don't do the origninal MPOs justice as this method does not show magenta or green well. Or red or blue (sigh). But the originals are stunning.
