I often think of things my father used to tell me when I was young .... he shared words of wisdom like "If you can't say anything good about someone, just don't say anything at all." Another one was "A picture is worth a thousand words."

So I won't say anything about the disgust I have for the current administration's leadership or the Congress that enables the systematic unraveling and destruction of our nation's strengths. But I'll let this picture show descriptively what the majority of Americans really think. Unfortunately, I think it will get worse before it gets better .... but change will come.

View LARGE for an uncommonly good luck at its unique tongue.

Seems appropriate reading for 2017 (a few of these I've read in college, some never).

The Donald has a tendency to plunk down buildings all over the place, prominently emblazoned with his name.

I chose to photograph a part of the building that does not have his name on it, as far as I can see...

Outside the March 18th 2016 Donald Trump rally in SLC.

they don't make caddys like they used to

I guess I live in a bubble. So far I have met only one person who said they intended to vote for the Donald. Yet they are obviously around, disparaging our country and stating that it needs making great again...

Edit: I met two more!...

Working your way through a stack of magazines with bad news is much more palatable if you can do it in your swimming trunks while sunbathing on a sunny beach...

The United States is a nation of immigrants, and our immigration system must be reformed to reflect this heritage while protecting American workers. After all, racism is a structural problem that must be addressed by fixing systemic inequalities in our society. It’s truly disheartening that after our nation's first black president, there is a considerable chance of him being succeeded by a hatemonger who refuses to condemn the KKK.

In the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art I saw this little artwork, with Rosey Rosenthal’s angle on Aesop’s political fable.

Robert Rosenthal, The Frogs Desire a King (2016), drypoint etching in pop-up book form

Hoping all my Muslim friends, and friends of Muslims, will read, link, share, pin, and publish the pictures. Like most such events, when dark shadows grow upon us, it was an island of joy, hope, and strength.

A lying, racist, anti-science, misogynist bigot-fascist, who resembles a sack of pig diarrhea, has cheated his way into the White House.

The cretins who voted for him are arguably worse than he is.

These are the people's faces and the thoughts of those people who came together to express their collective outrage, fear, and anger at the accelerating destruction of their democracy on No Kings Day, June 14th 2025.
