I'm not a religious person so I don't really celebrate Easter but Happy Easter if you do! I enjoyed these elegant mannequins with their bunny heads. I'll be spending Easter at a book club discussing the book of essays, Impossible Owls, by Brian Phillips. Some of these I liked more than others but they are definitely quite diverse from topics like Iditarod, Suma Wrestling, Russian animator Yuri Norstein, and even UFOs.

If you want a film recommendation today, I think the Italian film, Happy as Lazarro/Lazarro Felice (currently streaming in the US on Netflx) is a great one. It's a 2018 film directed by Alice Rohrwacher and has one of the best endings:

So a while ago I had started watching parks and rec on netflx, and I was hooked, I completely binged all the seasons in like 3 days ._. And my favorite character from the show was Ron Swanson, so naturally I had to make a fig for him.
The torso was pretty simple. He's got overmolded arms and his head was fun to do.

... actually the movie is titled Possession (2002 release), not to be confused iwth Possession 2008 or any other movies named Possession.
If I had read the reviews before watching this on Netflx, I probably would have selected another movie, so I'm glad I didn't. One brilliant critic said this is two movies in one and only one of them stands up. Unjust, unfair and certainly not the experience I had. Actually we have two unlikely people thrown together my mutual interest in researching a romance between two nineteenth century English poets. Their story is truly a touching love story with flashbacks to another love affair which surfaced in Victorian England a couple of hundred years before.
As their research doucments the love affair, there are dramatic flashbacks to the historical people being researched. It worked for me and I love the eye candy of the beautiful people to look at and the brilliant dialog. I thoroughly enjoyed the 2002 movie Possession. I watched it on Netflix and here's what that provider has to say about Possession:
An American scholar (Aaron Eckhart) discovers that Victorian-era poet Randolph Ash (Jeremy Northam) had a secret affair with lesser-known poet Christabel LaMotte (Jennifer Ehle) -- the subject of another scholar's (Gwyneth Paltrow) studies -- even though Ash was married and LaMotte was a "chaste spinster." As the two academics investigate the romance between their subjects, they find themselves wrapped up in the drama as well
NetFlix provides prepaid packages for their subscribers. This makes it easy and pain free when sending back viewed DVDs. They only downside to the mailing process is the possibility of receiving a scratched disk, or losing the prepaid package envelope. In any case NetFlix customer service representatives are there to help their subscribers through any road bumps.

Was. watching the Netflx doc "Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen A Journey A song" today and was inspired to generate these on midjourney. I was introduced to Leonard Cohen in college and fell immediately unexpectedly in love with his music. Even in his 70s when he was forced to start touring because his manager had stolen all his money, he literally left everything he had out on the stage. He seemed to be even more alive at that age than he had ever been. I've also always loved his face, which became even more beautiful and full of character as he aged.
