The structure, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, is often compared to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and the Gateway of India in Mumbai. Recently, it has also become home to the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, symbolizing India's journey from a colonial past to a future of self-determined progress.
