My impression of Oxfords Fossil Fuel Free Zone.
While living a car-free lifestyle may not be possible for everybody, try substituting car trips with bike rides, bus trips, train rides, or other forms of public transportation. When you drive, cut back on fossil fuel emissions by accelerating slowly and using the air conditioning sparingly. Check your tire pressure for better fuel economy, carpool when possible, and consider purchasing a hybrid or electric vehicle if you want a new car.
Last Friday night NMU senior goaltender Devan Hartigan, in his first regular game since '08-'09, stopped 34 shots and picked up a 3-2 win in an exhibition game against a very fast, unique styled, Russian hockey team, the Russian Red Stars. When asked for his thoughts on Hartigan, NMU Head Coach Walt Kyle responded, "Devan is a Division I goaltender who has happened to play behind some real good guys in his career, I’m real happy for him and real proud of him. He played really, really well tonight.”
