Henry "Heinie" Zimmerman: Seen here in 1913. Zimmerman played infield for the Cubs & Giants from 1909 to 1919. Zimmerman was suspended from the New York Giants in 1919, along with his friend Hal Chase, for allegedly attempting to convince other players to fix games. He was permanently banned from baseball by Judge Kenesaw Mountain Landis (B&W photo I colorized)

Wearing the green A to Z of Consent wrap livery that no longer exists, NET 202 is about to dive off round the back of the Old People’s complex at Sandby Court in Chilwell. On the other side the trams emerge over Bramcote Lane to call at the stop of the same name.

#AbFav_BLUE_ACCENTS_
Passing an overcrowded shop with everything displayed outside, I saw this blue net sticking out above the rest. For butterflies or little fish? Or both? LOL...
I wanted to photograph it against the sky so had to go down, and bend and crouch and kneel to get the angle I wanted.
People apparently were staring in disbelief, but when I’m composing an image, I forget about everything else!
My challenge was to photograph blue on blue, I love to use the light to bring out the gossamer forms.
It sings of sun and fun and wind and freedom and holiday, that small net high up catching the sun and the wind and the light and my eye one of my personal favourites.
These nets were already around when I grew up.
Have a fun day and thank you, M, (*_*)

New trains attract photographers, as this picture at Waddinxveen proves. Personally wouldn't have made this shot against the sun, but the composition looks ok.
An Abstract from Wikipedia:
Located along the Douro river estuary in Northern Portugal, Porto is one of the oldest European centers, and its historical core was proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. The western part of its urban area extends to the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean. Its settlement dates back many centuries, when it was an outpost of the Roman Empire.
In the 14th and the 15th centuries, Porto's shipyards contributed to the development of Portuguese shipbuilding. It was also from the port of Porto that, in 1415, Prince Henry the Navigator (son of John I of Portugal) embarked on the conquest of the Moorish port of Ceuta, in northern Morocco. This expedition by the King and his fleet, which counted among others Prince Henry, was followed by navigation and exploration along the western coast of Africa, initiating the Portuguese Age of Discovery.
Wine, produced in the Douro valley, was already in the 13th century transported to Porto in barcos rabelos (flat sailing vessels). In 1703, the Methuen Treaty established the trade relations between Portugal and England.

Gloucester Street, Oxford devoid of fossil fuelled vehicles.
My impression of Oxfords Fossil Fuel Free Zone.
While living a car-free lifestyle may not be possible for everybody, try substituting car trips with bike rides, bus trips, train rides, or other forms of public transportation. When you drive, cut back on fossil fuel emissions by accelerating slowly and using the air conditioning sparingly. Check your tire pressure for better fuel economy, carpool when possible, and consider purchasing a hybrid or electric vehicle if you want a new car.
