I'd love to know what these characters really mean.... maybe a bi-lingual FLICKRite will fill me in. This one is in a shopping center along Route 30 in Hammonton, NJ.

My friend Murray has built up an incredible collection of photos of retro / decaying / neon signs over the years, but has rarely transferred them to digital format. This is one of them.

A repurposed motel sign, now adorning a parking lot (aptly named "Llama Lot") near downtown Las Vegas. I only wish I had been able to see the neon fully lit at night.

Transformation:

Started with the background layer image and I took black paint around the edges to give it a dark feeling. Copied the text and man onto new layer. Blurred the arrow and added 'glowing edges' filter. Smart Sharpened the text and man of the sign. On the final layer added the fajitas, scaled them larger, and filtered with 'accented edges.'
