While exploring the many slot canyons of Cathedral gorge, I noticed that the rock formation of this park has a different appearance to other slot canyons in the area. I have been to slot canyons, which are eroded sandstone structures with beautiful swirls and patterns, but the canyon walls here looked like dry, cracked clay. I have never seen this kind of formation and wanted to take a close-up picture of their details.. If you know what type of formations these are, please share them in the comments.

Last fall, our work got extremely busy, and we didnβt have the chance to take a break or visit our usual fall hot spots nearby. However, I still have some images from autumn in 2023, when we were fortunate enough to go leaf peeping at two locations in California. Discovering the fall colors in full bloom at Yosemite was a pleasant surprise for me. A few weeks earlier, we traveled to the eastern Sierras and witnessed fantastic fall colors between the town of Bridgeport and Mono Lake. We stumbled upon some incredible backroad spots near the Sierra, each offering stunning views of the mountains and foothills, with breathtaking scenery all around. I canβt wait to return and explore more in this area.

Das am nordΓΆstlichen Stadtrand gelegene Anwesen wurde von Motilal Nehru (1861β1931) gegrΓΌndet. 1970 ΓΌbergab Indira Gandhi das Anand Bhavan an die indische Regierung, die es in ein Museum umwandelte. Im Garten des Anand Bhavan befindet sich seit 1979 das Jawahar-Planetarium.

Today is Indias Independence day and I thought it will be apt to quote directly from the speech made by our first Prime minister. This was a special picture for me, as it was the first time I experience d a double rainbow. This shot was taken on our drive to Mono Lake, in fact after taking this shot two more rainbows showed up just for a couple of seconds.

The Planetarium has a 15-metre diameter dome and a seating capacity of 210. It has a projector that was installed in 1989. There are also about 200 smaller projectors that simulate the night sky for a given date, time and place. "

Manchester Cathedral in background of new Mahatma Gandhi bronze statue
A 9 ft tall bronze statue designed by the Indian artist Ram Vanji Sutar ( born 19.2.1925 )was unveiled by distinguished political and religious leaders, and members of the Indian Government.
Weighing some 800 kegs the statue marks the 150th anniversary of Gandhiβs birth.
