Macro Mondays 16.3.2020 "Needle & thread"
The eye of the needle has a length of 6 mm.
Focus stack (from 79 shots)
For the first time in a long time I did this macro two days early.
I was using the needle for the SoS group on Saturday.
THIS IS THREADED by the way
unhappy Macro Mondays (because my picture was pulled from the group)
Red and white are the colors of Bulgarian martenitsa. It is a small ornament (usually a bracelet or a brooch), which all the Bulgarians tie around their wrists or clip on their clothes each year on March 1st for health and good luck.
The macro mondays group’s theme for 3/16 is needle and thread; and this is one of the possibilities. I am still learning about macro on the iPhone but I do like its potential......... check out the set-up shot in the first comment box
this was not an easy theme. When I tried the needle against the sequined backdrop it was very tricky to focus.

My Flickr is still a bumpy slow road most days. It saddens me much.
Actually quite annoying it is.
Happy Canada Day weekend

- The flag of the Netherlands (Dutch: de Nederlandse vlag) is a horizontal tricolour of red, white, and blue.
The current design originates as a variant of the late 16th century orange-white-blue Prinsenvlag ("Prince's Flag"), evolving in the early 17th century as the red-white-blue Statenvlag ("States Flag"), the naval flag of the States-General of the Dutch Republic, making the Dutch flag the oldest tricolour flag in continuous use.
Après avoir retrouvé dans mes tiroirs des aiguilles d'une vieille machine à coudre bien conservées par le temps, je me suis amusé à donner du Fil rouge doublé à retordre à 10 de ces Aiguilles. #Macro #MacroMondays #NeedleAndThread
“I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you're going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.”
