I used a brightly colored pink and blue fabric as the background for the needle/thread. In post I added some HDR and a Ribbet filter called Panography-ish, then added a drop-shadow frame.

I don’t know the name of this tree but the leaves are needles very soft on the new growth. I wonder if it is a Larch.

This one week old Black Skimmer chick just did the impossible. It swallowed a Needle Fish almost as long as him. I have the sequence of the entire ordeal, but this is the end.

For the theme Needles from Looking Close on Friday, I chose the needle from an old step sewing machine.

This one belonged to my grandmother. My mother got it from my grandmother and I got it from my mother. Soon I will give it to my daughter. I hope it stays in the family for a long time.
