4-H and FFA youth in the swine (hog or pig) animal science project learn how to raise, take care of, and show swine. The 4-H/FFA Swine Show at the Lancaster County Super Fair includes Showmanship, Breeding Gilts, Market Classes, Pen of Three, and a Carcass Contest.

All exhibitors are expected to care for their meat goats (feed, water and manure disposal) and cooperate in keeping stalls and alleys clean, neat and attractive. 4-H clubs and FFA chapters are automatically judged for Herdsmanship ribbons.

The 4-H Western Horse Shows at the Lancaster County Super Fair included numerous "in hand" and riding classes where horse and rider must be in western tack and attire.

4-H Western Horse Show 3 includes Bareback Equitation (pictured). This is judged on the rail (various gaits around the edge of the arena) solely on basic equitation/horsemanship skills. Riders may compete in either English or western attire with matching tack.
