Eighteen 4-H youth ages 8 and older practiced beginning sewing skills while constructing pajama pants or shorts at the "4-H Jammie Jamboree" sewing workshop on March 3, 2018. Youth brought their sewing machine, sewing supplies, choice of fabric and pajama bottom pattern.

4-H'ers learned how to cut and measure fabric, use a pattern, use an iron to neatly press open seams, and thread and sew. Each sewer also had the opportunity to use a serger machine to finish seam edges.

Fair Clothing Superintendents hosted the workshop. Adult volunteers and parents were on hand for one-on-one guidance.

In the Style Revue contest, 4-H’ers learn how to present themselves and gain confidence as they model their clothing projects and show proper fit of their clothing.

In STEAM Clothing Level 1 Style Revue, 4-H'ers model a complete outfit using garments they have sewn.

The 4-H Western Horse Shows at the Lancaster County Super Fair include numerous "in hand" (horse is led, not ridden) and riding classes. Stock horses are typically used. Horse and rider must be in western tack and attire.

Western Horse Show 3 includes Western Pleasure ponies and horses, and western horsemanship.
