25 youth participated in the 2015 4-H Bicycle Safety Contest on June 6 at the Lancaster Extension Education Center. The contest is part of the Lancaster County Super Fair.

There are two parts of the contest. In the bicycle skills events, 4-H’ers maneuver through several designated courses to test their riding skills and safety. A bicycle inspection reinforces the importance of bicycle maintenance and safety features.​

This is the 16th year the festival has been held in Lincoln. The festival helps students gain a greater understanding of agriculture and how it impacts their daily lives. The Ag Awareness Coalition, led by Nebraska Extension, organizes the festival with the help of agriculture businesses, commodity associations and food industry companies. This is the 16th year the festival has been held in Lincoln. The festival helps students gain a greater understanding of agriculture and how it impacts their daily lives. Students learn about agricultural products, how they are produced and how they are used.

4-H youth in the rabbit animal science project learn how to raise, take care of, groom, and show rabbits. The 4-H Rabbit Show at the Lancaster County Super Fair spans three days and includes several contests and classes.

4-H Clover College is a four-day series of hands-on workshops for youth presented by Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County.

In the three-day “Clover Chess Tourney,” youth played in a unique chess tournament. Participants played two rounds per day all three days, alternating colors. Time controls Game/20, Swiss system. Instructor: James Walla, 4-H Volunteer.
