Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. Recently I climbed to the top of the dunes in near hurricane strength winds to capture the sand moving across the dunes. The experience was amazing, although I highly recommend wearing ski goggles if high winds are expected.

Can you imagine the life of a salmon? Just think about it, what they do. It's pretty amazing.
This salmon is very near death, actually even before this sow got ahold of him. I doubt he had much fight left in him at this point.
She didn't have to work hard to capture this one.
Mother Nature has designed everything really to perfection when you think about it.
The best thing we can give our kids and grandkids is a love and deep appreciation for Mother Nature.
This is the same sow as in my previous grizzly post. Her cub is over to the right outside the frame getting his own salmon.
Shot near Central Park. These are the actual colors on the structure.I just enhanced them a little.I don't exactly know which street I took this shot, but between 59th and 79th streets there are many old mansions that once were owned by some of NYC elite from the 19th century. Some of them have been converted into embassies and museums. Most of the museums are strewn along 5th Avenue between 82nd and 104th streets in what is known as Museum Mile.

I love hiking the Mintrachinger Forest, because it is a park-like landscape. Meanwhile, these are rare among the intensively used agricultural areas and commerical timberlands of Bavaria.

This coastal lagoon is fed by creeks and joins the ocean near this point. The lagoon was quite full due to a continuing good season. Middle Lagoon at Middle Beach in the Mimosa Rocks National Park Far South Coast of NSW.

It's not the pale moon
That excites me
That thrills and delights me
Oh no
It's just the nearness of you
It isn't your sweet conversation
That brings this sensation
Oh no
It's just the nearness of you
When you're in my arms
And I feel you so close to me
All my wildest dreams
Came true
I need no soft lights
To enchant me
If you would only grant me
The right
To hold you ever so tight
And to feel in the night
The nearness of you

The African buffalo or Cape buffalo (Syncerus caffer) is a large Sub-Saharan African bovine. Syncerus caffer caffer, the Cape buffalo, is the typical subspecies found in South and East Africa. The adult buffalo's horns are its characteristic feature: they have fused bases, forming a continuous bone shield across the top of the head referred to as a "boss".
Cape Buffalo are suspected to kill around 200 people every year. They typically will charge and gore their victims and have been known to trample people as well. When you see Cape Buffalo roaming in Africa, they're usually not alone. Weighing in at over 1500 lbs, even most lions don't dare bother hunting this aggressive beast unless the lions are in a huge pride. – Wikipedia
