Taken from my home in the John Hancock building in Chicago. Chicago Navy Pier has fireworks every Wednesday and Saturday during the summer months. I told my wife when we moved here that they were for her. :)

I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;

he heard my cry for mercy.

Because he turned his ear to me,

I will call on him as long as I live.

Chicago, Illinois

I had a great time at the Google+ 2 yr anniversary walk last night. The light on the city was spectacular as the sun set. But after it set, the light kept getting better. I was having so much fun shooting the reflections in the puddles at North Avenue Beach that I thought I'd try it at Fullerton. The ground wasn't flat, so I need to ditch the tripod and lay the camera almost in the puddle. But it created a completely new look for this shot. The lower third of this image is the tiny puddle only a couple feet across. And by moving the camera a couple of inches either way you create a completely new composition. Next time I need to come with a 24mm tilt shift. I think that's the only way, other than focus stacking, that you would get the entire image in focus.
