The Navigation pub at Barrow upon Soar.

A lovely Sunday the 10-10-10.

Today we headed to Deadman's Bay, the supposed location of Treasure Island. Deadman's Chest just next door is where Black Beard dropped off 15 non-swiming sailors and a case of rum. Hence the song:

Fifteen men on a dead man's chest

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum

Drink and the devil had done for the rest

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.

Unfortunately the first mate drinks gin and can swim so that option's out should a mutiny occur.

There was no one around on this part of the ship as I went exploring for some good shots.

Thank you for this unique experience!

This is the first time that I've observed someone using hand-held navigation in anger. The man in the brown jacket is holding a Pocket PC phone. When I first saw him he had a small Bluetooth GPS receiver in the same hand, balanced between third and fourth fingers. By the time I took this photo he seemed to have transferred it to his other hand.
