A general overview of Navigation Road station on the Manchester Metrolink / National Rail network. This view is roughly northwards towards Manchester city centre. Both lines are bi-directional. The nearest line is operated by Metrolink with services to Altrincham coming from behind me and proceeding to Manchester. On the furthest lines Network Rail services run from Stockport / Manchester, which is a few miles around the corner and into the distance, and onto Chester. Occasional freight services also operate this way.

This is the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation just after Springfield Lock looking towards the A138 Chelmer Road (Old A12).
Cadets were given the task to find various points in the woods as part of their Land Navigation training on Oct. 5 at Penn State.
Bright red LEDs turn on automatically at dusk and off at dawn. It flashes reliably for up to 100 hours on a full charge by solar photovoltaic cells in at the top of the lamp. The light is visible from 5km.

I'm really liking the Schneider-Kreuznach Radionar lens on this Balda Baldalux folder.
Just checked the serial number on the lens, and it was made some time between October 1950 and May 1951. Not too shoddy for being 60 years old.
Test roll from a Zodel (Wallace Heaton branded) Balda Baldalux 6x9 folder, using the 6x4.5 mask. Shot wide open at f4.5, possibly at 1/25th on a very grey Sunday afternoon.

Last week I attend a day of presentations & work shops on offshore wind energy generation at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton. Organized by Envirolink Northwest, the event hosted speeches from numerous leaders in the renewable energy sector. That evening it seemed only appropriate to head down to Burbo Bank for the sunset & try to capture some photographs containing Liverpool coastline's very own wind farm.
More artistic layout, but the focus is on the right hand side, with the linkup of social media a main focus.
