Not that there would be a chance to get lost, but a navigational unit made my day a lot more flexible. It gave me online information when I had time to spare and what arrival time to expect. Additionally, one of the features I loved most: An Aussie voice. Today: A short trip from Cervantes to Kalbarri.
Instead of room numbers plaques on the doors, names of cities along the bosphorus indicates where they are in the hotel.

As seen from the ferry ride from Stockholm to Finnhamn in the Stockholm archipelago. The archipelago is a challenge to navigate through because of all the shallow spots.
An automated navigation light replaced the 1901 manned lighthouse in 1961. The architects obviously had a sense of humour. To my mind it looks like a rocket, embedded nose-first in the shingle!
Navigation markers aboard a barge attached to the USCG vessel Clamp. When set, these markers will have numbers in their centers, and sailors will use them to facilitate entry into a port, travel up and down a river, etc. Just another service provided by the US Coast Guard.

Beachy Head Lighthouse, Sussex, UK
Beachy Head Lighthouse is a lighthouse located in the English Channel below the cliffs of Beachy Head in East Sussex. It is 33 m in height and became operational in October 1902. It was the last traditional-style 'rock tower' to be built by Trinity House.
Navigation road - a site which has been empty for perhaps 25 years or more - a row of cottages was condemned in the 80s and nothing happened.
At Bank Dole the Navigation rejoins the River Aire providing access to the Selby Canal. The lock house stands derelict and the lock looks in poor repair.

Heavy rains have compromised the navigation aids in the Illawarra region and also washed 31 hay bales from nearby farmlands into local waterways.

Another photograph I dug out of the old hard drive bin to use for a photograph contest. I know I should get off my but and go take new pics for these contest, but I am too busy right now.
Mallard Duck at Bowers Lock. It and another had come over expecting food, but we didn't have any so they gave up and walked off again.
Bowers Lock is just off Clay Lane (which runs between Jacob's Well and Burpham). It opened in 1653.

We headed down to Navigation Warehouse (next door to the new Hepworth Gallery) on Wednesday night where there was a selection of Wakefield-related videos from the ace Yorkshire Film Archive being displayed as part of this month's Wakefield Art Walk.
As we arrived people were exiting the building en-mass to launch chinese lanterns into the night sky - seemed an excellent excuse to take a couple of impromptu photos. All over in a few minutes (they don't half shift when they go up!) so had to wing it a bit and hope the photos would come out, so quite pleased with the results (tho a bit grainy given iso3200)
