I like the way the ambient light lit the girl's face. Cocktail was hosted in the dimly lit discotheque of Le Meridian. It was a challenging venue.

I met my friend Mona (or more formally, Navdeep Kaur) at university in Perth when we were involved in setting up the first South Asian student society at UWA (and later spreading to the other universities), Desi (www.desi.asn.au).
Mona is a bright, cheery, cheeky and carefree person, who was raised, like many of my Sikh friends, to have a strong grasp of Punjabi culture and Sikh values and traditions while retaining her broad Aussie accent and personality. Mona studied law at UWA, and today is home in Perth, practicing.
It was wonderful to see the journey you have travelled with Satpal culminating in a wonderful wedding. May you and Sat share many beautiful days together. This is the start of your journey and I hope it brings you great happiness, shared good health and wealth, and the spiritual growth that your union as Sikhs signifies.
May Waheguru be with you on your side as you journey.
Congratulations to Navdeep & Daryl who were married today. I made the wedding cake for Navdeep's sister, Anita (Goodness! I can't believe that was 5 years ago!) and I was honoured that the family came back to me now it is Navdeep's special day! All 3 tiers were vanilla sponge with jam & buttercream, covered in white chocolate ganache and finally decorated with white chocolate curls. Red and gold ribbon and fresh flowers to match the bride's bouquet were the finishing touches.
Mirror has always been a girl's best and closest friend !

PIONEERING AI INNOVATION: THE VIEW FROM CANADA
By 2030, artificial intelligence is expected to increase global GDP by 14%, making AI the biggest commercial opportunity in today’s economy. Canada is emerging as a global leader in this field; the government is investing hundreds of millions of dollars in AI and relaxing immigration rules to attract top talent in the sector. Startups and tech giants are taking notice and expanding their offices to the north. Where does Canada stand in the global AI race? Why should businesses look to Canada as a place to jump-start their AI strategy? A conversation on Canada’s potential to lead global AI innovation.

Granthis ( holy men ) having little chat near sarovar.
Few more pictures from Golden Temple, Amritsar
Around the Parikrama, or pathway, are four rectangular cubicles where Granthis (priests) sit and recite the Granth Sahib. Pilgrims leave offerings at the steps, and can also get the holy book recited in their names for a donation. At the eastern end are two brick watchtowers called the Ramgarhia Minars, which were damaged during Operation Blue Star in 1984. The Guru-ka-langar or community canteen is a Sikh institution, which was started by Guru Amar Das in the 16th century. The practice of eating together encouraged shedding of inhibitions and the principle of equality. The community kitchen feeds up to 10,000 people in a day, free of charges. The food is normally chapattis and lentils.
A portrait of a Female Cadet at the Piping Ceremony. I was shooting portraits of everyone when i noticed that she was blushing with pride as Brig. I P Singh was praising her of her performance to Capt. Suresh.
I tried my best to frame her into the picture and eliminate others and this is what i landed with. More about Lieutenant Navdeep Kaur, i heard from Capt. Suresh that she has been selected for the Education Corps.
Brig. I P Singh himself is from the Armoured Corps and is from the 65th Regiment. (See his belt, you can find the details on it).
Its wonderful to see entire families dedicating their lives for the nation like Brig. I P Singh and Lt. Navdeep Kaur.
Perfect examples of what selfless patriotism and concern for another fellow human being, an Indian does to these lovely people.
