Sorry about the branches, but towhees are usually shy, on-the-ground birds that can be heard and sometimes seen in the underbrush scratching for their food by kind of jumping backwards. For now, this is the best capture I've gotten of one.
This bird's song sounds like "Drink your teeeeee" but it often truncates it and just sings "toe-weeee." Here's an audio clip.
