“Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Nature can teach us a lot of things, including to be patient and live in the moment as much as we can.

I look forward to things, but as far as saying “I can’t wait”, I usually don’t. It takes away from the present moment and sometimes, when the “can’t wait” time comes, it isn’t all that was anticipated. As I’ve grown older, I have realized strongly that the present moment is all I’ll ever truly have. Recognizing that has made me live my life more fully because usually I can, and sometimes even should wait for certain things. Sometimes, the moment is made even better because of the waiting. Even if it’s not, at least I’ve made the best of the time leading up to it.

“Nature does not ask permission. Blossom and birth whenever you feel like it.” -Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés

Nature can teach us a lot of things and one I’ve learned from her is to be yourself without apology. You shouldn’t need validation or permission from others to be true to yourself. As long as you’re doing no harm and you’re happy, that’s what should matter.

Connect with nature, explore your passions, do what you love. No competition with others, no trying to be better than others. Just be.

The kids were amazed that I had never heard about Ant Lion's.

There was a lot of debate about whether they walk backwards all the time, or their head is on the opposite end of "the claw."

SICALAO WOW!

Concealed in the heart of a very dense tropical rainforest, a mystical, immaculate beauty is revealed after enduring a 6 hours hike of dangerous ups and downs, perilous wild river, mossy and slimy rocks, thick vegetation and gargantuan boulders.

The boys have been using these guides to learn about animal tracks and birds on our walks. A was deciphering what track he spotted, sadly it was a dog track.

Bloom Where You Are Planted

Nature has the best lessons to teach us about growth. Each flower here started as a seed, tended with care and patience. Personal growth works the same way: consistent effort, a positive environment, and resilience can help you flourish. What’s helping you grow today?
