I grew some Nasturtiums from seed and planted them in a hanging basket. They have bloomed all Summer long and the increase in sunshine has shown them in a beautiful light.
They have been a magnet for the bees who like to get right inside to the nectar.
I captured this one as was backlit for a few minutes by the sun.

I was lining up the hairy flower scarab, metallic beetle, when the paper wasp slipped into the frame — a perfect, unplanned collision of color and motion. Two visitors sharing the same bloom for a heartbeat, turning a simple macro into a small story about chance and wild Florida mornings. Lucky for me I was shooting the right wildflower!
A Common Frog (Rana temporaria) floats quietly at the water’s surface, only its eyes and head breaking the calm reflection.

Know the enemy: They have changed their appearance! The fourth and final moult before emerging as the egg-laying, winged adult. They are now red with black and white spots.

Surprise meeting at the same feeding station. I was startled to see this and quickly shot the scene. These two rivals stayed in this pose for quite a while and then both broke at the same time. There must have been some kind of vibe going on that only nature can understand.
