One of the many section of the Mira de Aire caves, the largest in Portugal. With 11km of extension.
This section carved by an underground river sometimes during heavy rains can be flooded.
This is two of the upper lakes in Plitvice Lakes National Park (Plitvicka Jezera Nacionaini Park), Croatia (Hrvatske).
With 16 named lakes and many smaller lakes and pools, this unique river system was created by natural processes. Due to the high mineral content of the water, dams formed that create the lakes as they travel down a steep valley and gorge. There are 12 upper lakes, 4 lower lakes and thousands of waterfalls many of which are spectacular. It has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
And a Haiku in thanks for your comments and views. Cheers.

The 7 distinct colours are red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow. (The photo only shows part of the dunes).
Unique to this dunes, situated in Chamarel (Mauritius), is that the colours never mix. No matter how hard it rains or blows, the colour of the layers does not change. Geologists are not yet sure how this coloured earth in Mauritius continues to sort itself by colour. They also don't know how the colours came about, but it is thought that it has to do with the cooling (at different temperatures) of the volcanic rock.
Reportedly there is no site like this anywhere else in the world.

This was quite a blustery afternoon on the Withernsea coastline with the wind whipping spray off the waves of the incoming tide
Hopefully will be able to visit these shores again very soon. It is the month that the camp site opens up
After a mainly dry, sunny intervals type of a day, suddenly late afternoon it began to become very overcast and dark, resulting in this totally unexpected hail shower, short but sweet
Interesting cloud formations looking west across the Trent Valley this afternoon.

Utah is famous for its iconic landscapes, and many people flock to the national and state parks. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) manages nearly 22.8 million acres (9,226,840 hectares) of public lands in Utah, representing about 42 percent of the state!
I love to explore that 42 percent and find small hidden gems that are unique.
GPS is not the exact spot of the shot.
A full sun halo developed at midday with our steelworks in the foreground.
The sun is getting higher in the sky now as before only half halos have been visible because of the low sun
A delightful weekend on the east coast of the uk with family, allowing a couple of hours for some photography.
This exposure is from Withernsea at the towers, quite a few long exposures were taken as the tide rose presenting different compositions. I make no apologies for this ;)
Sunset last gave me the pleasure of seeing the phenomenon called the green flash (the bit at the top of the sun)
I’ve tried many times in the past to see this but failed.
One off the photo bucket list 😀
My interpretation...taken near dusk. This little bit of rocky heaven is actually a relatively unremarkable part of the spectacularly convoluted Canyonlands area that has been carved out by frequent flooding into the Colorado River. But after looking twice twice, it caught my imagination...I realized that in other contexts this hardly discernible scene would be a knockout. So I wanted to make that happen.
