In May I wild camped on the Glyderau mountains of Snowdonia for a couple of nights. It was a frustrating experience as early morning hill fog scuppered my plans for two sunrise shoots. Nevertheless, when the light was good, it was worthwhile.
This was taken on my second evening there. Cloud would funnel over the top of the mountain and block the view every now and again but in between that the rich glow of sunset lit Castell y Gwynt.

Photograph taken at 10:41am on Sunday 10th November 2019, a beautifully sunny Autumn morning overlooking the Swale on the Isle of Sheppey, across the Kingsferry Bridge in Kent, England.
The mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) is a dabbling duck found in the Americas, Eurasia, Europe and many other parts of the world. This male Mallard is distinguished by it's glossy green head and Blue speculum feathers. They can reach tenty seix inches in length with a wingspan of up to thirty nine inches.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Six metres, at 13:29pm on Monday 20th January 2020, on a beautifully sunny afternoon off Birdcage Walk and Horse Guards Road in the grounds of St James's Park. Situated in the City Of Westminster, the Park spans twenty three Hectares and is the oldest of the Royal Parks of London, with a variety of visiting and nesting birds that include Ducks, Canada Geese and Pelicans.
Here we see a Bar-headed goose (Answer Indicus), native to Central Asia from the Tian-Shans to Ladakh and Kokonor and breeding grounds in northern India, Assam and northern Burma. These are far from common in the UK, with only a handful of breeding pairs seen, and often alone as in this instance.

Pelicans have existed at St James's Park for over four hundred years, originally a gift from the Russian Ambassador to King Charles II in 1664, (and subsequently referred to as 'Ambassadors Pelicans), nowadays six individuals including Louis, Vaclav and Gargi who are all Great White Pelicans (Pelecanus Onocrotalus), also known as Eastern Pelicans, White Pelicans or Rosy Pelicans, reside on Pelican Rock at one end of the lake. They eat fish from the lake and are also hand fed, and are a much loved attraction. They have the largest wingspan after the Great Albatross of up to three metres, have a body length up to six feet and males can weigh up to 15kgs.

This trio of landscapes was taken by looking in different directions from the same scenic rest stop on our way to Canyon de Chelly. The variety of landforms and coloration make the viewer feel that they are, indeed, in a mystical land.It is very easy to understand why the people who live there are deeply bonded with the land.

Nicolle is a scientist who, when I photographed her, had recently decided that, at that time, working in a laboratory and doing a PhD were not for her. She was also considering emigrating to New Zealand, or Australia.

At the end of the world on a secluded white sand beach, there is a magical place which few words that can describe.
