Le Cran d'Escalles

En contrebas du Cap Blanc Nez, des falaises de craies et en bas du village éponyme, se trouve la plage de galets et de sable du Cran d’Escalles.
La vue y est magnifique. Au bord de l'eau ou au pied des falaises dans le chaos rocheux, la côte ici est l'une des plus belles de la région Nord-Pas de Calais.
Village de la Côte d'Opale, Escalles est principalement connu pour abriter le cap Blanc-Nez, l'un des principaux sites touristiques du nord de la France. Le village est ainsi l'une des huit communes formant le Grand Site des Deux Caps, labellisé « Grand Site de France » depuis 2011.
Le site du Cap Blanc Nez, situé vers la droite de la photo, est déjà classé pour son exceptionnel intérêt paysager et éco-paysager. Il fait partie du réseau européen Natura 2000.
Début 2009, 116 hectares avaient été achetés par le conservatoire du littoral (de 1987 - 2003), en 23 actes d'acquisition signés, sur les communes d'Escalles et Sangatte. Les terrains acquis sont gérés par Eden 62 avec le Parc naturel régional des caps et marais d'opale.

A protected area which is National Park, Natura 2000, Ramsar site, Transboundary Park.

Lake Petron is a very important habitat for the birds of Greece and belongs to the Natura 2000 network. About 130 species live and overwinter here. The limestone hills around the lake are bare and only in the streams that end in it a denser vegetation grows. Dense reedbeds of the species Phragmites australis grow around the lake, in which many birds find protection. To the south of the lake is formed a large area of wet meadows which are flooded with water in winter and spring and maintain a suitable level in summer, creating ideal conditions for the reproduction of many species of amphibians and fish. Lonely willows and alders rise around the lake. The lake's aquatic and aquatic vegetation includes 42 species.
Die Urdenbacher Kämpe ist mit 316 Hektar Fläche das größte Naturschutzgebiet Düsseldorfs. Sie ist ein typisches Stück alter niederrheinischer Kulturlandschaft, wo Kopfweiden, Obstbäume und wertvolle Feuchtwiesen vorkommen. Sehenswert sind besonders die blühenden Obstbäume. Aufgrund ihrer überregionalen Bedeutung wurde die Urdenbacher Kämpe in das europäische Schutzgebietssystem Natura 2000 aufgenommen und genießt seitdem internationalen Schutz. Zudem unterliegt das Gebiet, ergänzt um den Garather Mühlenbach, den FFH-Richtlinien.

un endroit que j'ai adoré, et que j'aimerais bien exploré davantage...j'y retournerai
Site naturel protégé de 170 hectares, le Cap d’Erquy est la fierté de la cité. Une vue imprenable sur la baie de Saint-Brieuc, des kilomètres de sentiers patiemment aménagés au fil des ans pour un tourisme respectueux de l’environnement et de sa richesse, site classé depuis 1978 et intégré dans le réseau de sites Natura 2000.
Depuis le 24 septembre 2019, le Cap d’Erquy – Cap Fréhel est labellisé Grand Site de France. Il devient ainsi le 19ème Grand Site de France et le 3ème en Bretagne.

The Gialova lagoon, in the southwestern part of the Peloponnese Peninsula, is a place where many species of birds of passage stop on their way from Europe to Africa and back.
Gialova Lagoon is a birder's paradise, home to over 270 species on account of its shallow waters and abundance of fish and plants. It's Greece's southernmost major wetland and the only place in Europe where you can see the African chameleon. The lagoon is part of the Natura 2000 network, a group of ecological important protected areas in the European Union.
