The Disney Imagineers are masters -- taking a few simple elements such as light, water and sound and creating one of the most beautiful "attractions" -- the Innovention Fountains located in Innoventions Plaza in Epcot's Future World.
The magical fountains have been part of Epcot since opening day. In fact, as a symbolic gesture of international cooperation and understanding, representatives from 22 countries each poured a gallon of water from their homeland into the fountain.
Student Nations are regional student associations at a university. A similar phenomena, outside northen Europe, are the fraternities at American universities, but it's imperfect comparison. The nation system was once a widespread concept in Europe, but now they only exist by some degree in Sweden and Finland.
This building is inspired by Norrland Nation in Uppsala, where I am quite involved. I tried to recreate a scene from the early 1900s. The scene captures a typical day of student life with alcohol, love, an infamous horse incident, fencing and so on.
It was the winning entry for Swebrick's contest "Staden vi byggde" (The City We Built)
First painting of a series done for the Painted Desert Project.
Wall faces east for the sunrise. More photos to come.
Thanks to: Chip Thomas (jetsonorama), Karen Koestner, Mrs. Woody, OverUnder, Labrona, Gaia, Tom Greyeyes, Breeze, and everyone else involved in the project.
I had the privilege to visit the beautiful community of Mitaanjigamiing First Nation today. I arrived alittle early so I drove around the community and stood by the lake. It was a calm and peaceful view.

TOTW: get your groove on - “Kernkraft 400 - Zombie Nation”
looking for a fitting title this song came by which was quite fitting for the image
A Six Nations Championship rugby international at the Millennium Stadium in March 2005 produced a trio of EWS Class 67 hauled trains on the Welsh Marches Line. On an overcast morning, the 1V75 09:45 Shrewsbury to Cardiff Central was recorded passing Woofferton in the care of 67014.

This came out a little soft, but I just like the look of it. I wish that I could say that this was on the side of some grand building, but it was actually the front of a casino and travel plaza combination. Such is life in the US in the 21st Century. :-)
Choctaw Nation businesses generate hundreds of millions of dollars annually and more than 7,600 jobs for tribal and non-tribal Oklahomans. In addition to the tribe’s seven casinos, the Nation has a manufacturing business, a management services company, 13 travel plazas, 12 smoke shops, a printing company and a document archiving company. Proceeds from all the tribe’s businesses provide the revenue stream to support not only the programs that assist tribal members, including, health care, education, housing, senior care and other social services, but enable the tribe to support scores of community programs and charities.
An impressive title for one engine pulling a six pack of bare table platforms? The Pacific Harbor Line toils away in relative obscurity doing work like this daily, serving the Port of Los Angeles between Long Beach and San Pedro, moving container traffic between terminals. In this July 2014 view from East Anaheim Street in Wilmington CA, we see MP20C-3 No. 67 returning from Pier A while a passing BNSF train heads for Terminal Island. The former Espee SD40 was rebuilt by MPI into a low emission unit.
Looking down at the home of the Miami Heat, The American Airlines Arena, Port of Miami and South Beach. Taken on January 5, 2014 during the Heat vs Raptors game which the Heat won!

Be sure to click "L" and view it LARGE!
I uploaded a similar shot a couple of months ago (which I prefer over this one), but I thought this one was different enough to post and it gives the feeling that you're standing in the fountain (plus I spent a lot of time with it in post :) ).
Taken at Split Bus Nation weekend in Belgium, the blue one is my bus. The colours are so cool just had to take this shot
National Wildlife Day is observed annually on September 4th.
National Wildlife Day is an opportunity to learn more about endangered species, preservation and conservation efforts around the world. Zoos, aviaries, and marine sanctuaries provide a variety of ways to get involved. From participating in presentations and volunteering to fundraise for rehabilitation services, these facilities have something for everyone to learn.
This was taken at Font's Point looking south across the Anza-Borrego Desert of Southern California. The Anza-Borrego is a part of the greater Colorado Desert and is located directly west of the Salton Sea. Font's Point is reached by driving down a seasonal dry wash (only in the dry season!) for about 10 miles. It can be done with a two-wheel drive sedan (I did it in a Ford Taurus) quite easily. The dry wash is about 15 miles east of Borrego Springs on the road to Salton City and it is off to the right. A sharp lookout will spot the sign.

A sea of red draws huge crowds to the Tower of London. Despite driving rain while Janice and I visited early in the week, thousands turned out to see the giant art work honouring the 888,246 British fatalities in World War I.
