Happy Canada Day July 01, 2020!
Five seconds outside Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin USA
Fireworks during the U.S. National Anthem prior to the Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears game at the famed Lambeau Field December 12, 2021. The red fireworks are lighted when the lyrics "and the rocket's red glare" come around. Some newly planted deciduous trees nicely lighted along Lombardi Avenue. The clock on the stadium set to "Lombardi Time", i.e., fifteen minutes fast.
This post at half time - score Packers 21, Bears 27. Here's hoping the Packers can take care of business.

31 Minutes to go till the Malayan independence day (Hari Merdeka) is celebrated in Kuala Lumpur.
It has been a while since that day but I can honestly tell you I haven’t been much happier in my life than on this day. For me as a german it is sometimes a bit hard to be proud of my country because of what has happened in the past.
So as I attended the Hari Merdeka festival in Kuala Lumpur I saw all these people being proud of having their own country, free’d of a large empire under which they have lived for quite a while. It was more than overwhelming to see how all these people identify with their country and I nearly cried as all of them sang the national anthem in one voice.
Furthermore I want to give you a small thought on an interesting topic. Whilst you read have a listen to my favourit song. It is from the band: IMAGINE DRAGONS:
For me as a western boy who lives a high standard of life and is able to travel the world , meet people and see places it is more than important to appreciate it. Actually the reason why “we” are rich is that there are some people in the world who have nearly nothing. When I spoke to people in Asia and told them where I travel and what I do they told me it is their dream to go abroad once. As these people earn approximately 50 US$ a month they would need two years to save for a flight to Europe or America without having bought something to live. As you can imagine it is impossible for over a billion Asians to ever visit “us”. So if you ever have the chance to give something back, do it and remember the jeans or the shirt you wear would be at least five times more expensive if it would have been produced by you and not an asian dude!.
Just a little thought in a laaaarge world.
So far thanks guys for your nice words, and friendship. I appreciate it and am thankful that with your like, comment or whatever I am able to do what I really love!
Love,
Ben

-- The Star Spangled Banner --
Oh, say can you see,
By the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed
At the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars,
Thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched
Were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets red glare,
The bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there.
O, say, does that
Star-Spangled Banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free
And the home of the brave?

We had a wonderful visit to one of Baltimore's most important historic sites this morning. It was here, during England's bombardment of the fort in the War of 1812, that Francis Scott Key wrote the words that later became our national anthem.

My beautiful friend Jackie told me she wanted to do a Marilyn-Jacklyn theme shoot. Lana Del Rey's National Anthem served as a great source of inspiration. We only did some Jackie Kennedy ones so Marilyn is up next :)

Let's be honest: how many Americans know verses 2,3, or 4 of our National Anthem- let alone 158 in Greece?!?! Way to over-achieve Greece. Well-played.
When I was a kid my mother gave me a book of true facts for Christmas and I was instantly fixated on random, useless trivia and true facts. I used to read the Trivial Pursuit cards on road trips (nerd alert), and to this day I still have a passion for the unusual and bizarre factoids.

I'm stampolina and I love to take photos of stamps. Thanks for visiting this pages on flickr.
I'm neither a typical collector of stamps, nor a stamp dealer. I'm only a stamp photograph. I'm fascinated of the fine close-up structures which are hidden in this small stamp-pictures. Please don't ask of the worth of these stamps - the most ones have a worth of a few cents or still less.
By the way, I wanna say thank you to all flickr users who have sent me stamps! Great! Thank you! Someone sent me 3 or 5 stamps, another one sent me more than 20 stamps in a letter. It's everytime a great surprise for me and I'm everytime happy to get letters with stamps inside from you!
thx, stampolina
For the case you wanna send also stamps - it is possible. (...I'm pretty sure you'll see these stamps on this photostream on flickr :) thx!

Live my country, the unity of our Emirates lives
You have lived for a nation

Taken during the playing of the National Anthem of yesterdays Yankees Game in the new Yankee Stadium.
Yankee Stadium is a stadium located in the The Bronx, a borough of New York City, New York, United States. It serves as the home ballpark for the New York Yankees, replacing the previous Yankee Stadium, built in 1923. The new ballpark was constructed across the street, north-northeast of the 1923 Yankee Stadium, on the former site of Macombs Dam Park. The first game at the new Yankee Stadium was a preseason exhibition game against the Chicago Cubs played on April 3, 2009. The first regular season game was played on April 16, 2009.
Much of the stadium incorporates design elements from the previous Yankee Stadium, paying homage to the Yankees' history. Although stadium construction began in August 2006, the project of building a new stadium for the Yankees is one that spanned many years and faced many controversies. Financing for the stadium has been a very divisive issue, with New York City residents criticizing the city's decision to use funds to build the sports venue, instead of using it for other pressing issues. The projected total cost of the stadium is $1.5 billion, making it the second most expensive stadium in the world. (from wikipedia)
Today's result was far from what we had hoped, but it was still another amazing day at the ballpark. Here is a panorama I took with Mikey during the National Anthem (this was just before it started, why people aren't standing yet).
