Many thanks to all those who View, Comment and or Fave My Photos and happy weekend to all 👍

A photo from earlier this summer, taken while at the cottage using the car as a blind.

Photo taken about a month ago, this guy was a late migrant on a rainy day. Glendale, Missouri

Itasca State Park, Minnesota

The Nashville Warbler consists of two subspecies. They are separated by the Great Plains in North America. The Western bird was photographed in the shade with the other in direct sunlight.

Found today, in My garden. This bird has been a regular species here for the past several summers.

People really don’t understand how small warblers are until they see them relative to a leaf. These little birds are always such a challenge to find and shoot, and well worth the effort!

This Nashville Warbler male was fighting with two others for his patch, and at the same time constantly singing and foraging for food. He was going under a brush time to time with food, so I stayed put and waited for him to hop on to one of the open branches under the shades.

The most beautiful male of this species I have seen so far, and he had a slightly different ending to his song as well.

Always a constant challenge, never a clear shot until now! These birds are known to skulk around and in truth I wouldn't have found it if it weren't for a flock of Kinglets and a particularly aggressive Ruby Crowned that flushed it out!

Converted from color film.

Another shot from spring of that plump Nashville Warbler. I absolutely love the portraits I was able to get of this guy. Only 2 out of 50 sharp, but I'll take them!

Cold, damp weather os bringing some warblers down low where they can be seen easier than usual.

Nashville skyline as the sun goes down. A city transformed, look close to find at least three giant building cranes. Exponential growth, lots of people relocated here in the last 20 years. To long time residents this downtown view is unrecognizable.

The Jack Pine forests and barrens make for good habitat for this species as they do for numerous other species. This warbler has a nonsensical name as it breeds far north of Nashville.
