El Parque Nacional da Peneda-Gerês, es el único parque nacional que posee Portugal y fué declarado en el año 2009 por la UNESCO, Reserva de la Biosfera Transfronteriza Gerês-Xurés (RBTGX).
Comprende 267.958 Ha. de terreno protegido repartidas entre España y Portugal, influenciadas por los climas atlántico, mediterráneo y continental lo que da origen a una gran diversidad de microclimas que posibilitan una interesantisima flora endémica.
Su orografía es granítica, su red hidrográfica es jóven y está encajada en valles estrechos y profundos, sus ecosistemas están en buen estado de conservación.....todo lo cual conforma un paisaje de gran belleza natural.
Aquí se da el Iris Boissieri o Lirio do Xurés, la Armeria humillis subsp. odorata, el Ornithogalum broteroi, el Petrocoptis grandiflora, la Viola lactea, la Lithodora diffusa......de las cuales pongo fotos visbles en el primer comentario.

For 121 Pictures in 2021 #2 "All one color", this is a sunflower bud. My neighbor planted these in the area between our driveways (with my blessing and help). They now stand over 6 feet (2m) tall.
This shot comes from a set of pictures taken in 2023 last dawn. I enjoyed a colorful spectacle in a really quiet and nice place near "Calella de Palafrugell" in Costa Brava.
This is a long exposure shot of 130 seconds which was processed with Darktable. A neutral filter of ten steps was used. You can read additional technical information in my profile (about section).

UMA LUA NASCENTE...
- Esta foi uma época em que estava andando com uma pequena câmera digital Olympus. E neste dia, o anoitecer foi realmente fantástico, além das cores incríveis e únicas, uma mistura que ia do vermelho ao azul, era uma daquelas luas cheias especiais. Não sei se era ou foi um resultado de poluição atmosférica, mas seja como for, fico feliz de poder ter registrado aquele anoitecer diferente e único com uma lua especial, mesmo que não tenha sido um registro com equipamentos de ponta. Enfim, espero que gostem e apreciem o nosso esforço singelo!
ONE RISING MOON...
- It was a time when I was walking around with a small Olympus digital camera. And on this day, the dusk was really fantastic, in addition to the incredible and unique colors, a mix that went from red to blue, it was one of those special full moons. I don't know if it was or was a result of smog, but either way, I'm glad I was able to capture that different and unique nightfall with a special moon, even if it wasn't a record with high-end equipment. Anyway, I hope you like it and appreciate our simple effort!

In 1945, the Russian army entered Poland via Ukraine and liberated the country from Nazi occupation. They then proceeded to consolidate their overreach in a nascent 'Soviet Union'. History occasionally recurs, and if nothing else, the anxiety that accompanies winds of looming war can repeatedly rear its ugly head. So, I wonder what that child, now 33 years old, is thinking today….. This was my father's childhood home.
