Ile de Nantes 2008

Nantes - Dedicated to Woplu

'Jeg'

From my autumn exhibit at the Nantes Gallery.

A little experiment with double exposure, (in this picture tribble), telling stories of us, our different sides, our alter egos.

A humble thank you to my dear Elizabeth for the honour of exposing in her lovely Gallery.

Also to the people, who allowed me to use their faces, for this little play with pictures.

We had a wonderful and totally fun opening party with the best DJ, J.M. - thank you!

Thank you all who came by and visited, for kind words and donations, shared between Elisabeth and me ♥ Another great honour!

In gratitude

Ceci ♥

This XVIIIth century urban ensemble was initially surrounded by water. The island was integrated to the city center when the Loire was filled in 1930. As can be seen from the picture, the open spaces were entirely redesigned in the early 1990ies for leaving more space for pedestrian. The white public lighting and discrete enhancement of facades magnifies the outstanding classical character of the place.
