Inspired by Matt Molloy's photography style. I wanted to give his technique a try. It was very simple, and the results were amazing. I sat my camera on a tripod, and I had recently downloaded a software called Magic Lantern. I was able to have my camera take a photo every 5 seconds for a total of 70ish photos. And the rest was done in photoshop.
My preceptor recently told me that instead of trying to fix everything all the time, I should live life sometimes by just flowing its path.
Mallard greetings
With a temperature on this morning of -6 Celsius and a windchill of -13 Celsius, it is still winter. A strong north-west wind is blowing, and though I am bundled up well, the gloves on the hands are not especially warm. There is still snow and ice around but the sun is shining. This female mallard looks like she can tolerate the cold temps quite well, with those feathers all puffed out for warmth and the water on those feathers rolling right off. I wonder if she is enjoying the sunshine as much as I am?
How can you not feel better to wander in nature on a day just like this. :-)

A woman peeks out of her doorway at an alleyway in Jaisalmer. Street photography in India is simply exceptional. Scene after scene just throw themseves at you every few steps you take, and the people are mostly amenable to being photographed. Also as I was saying in a previous post, the color schemes in India are just amazing. I don't think that whoever painted this house was versed in color theory and understood the concept of complementary colors, they likely just painted it according to what was pleasing to the eye. The bright yellow sari this woman was wearing was just perfect to frame her in the blue doorway during this split second scene as I walked by her house.
A big Namaste to all...am just back from the mountains for two days but will be back for a while next week so looking forward to seeing all your brilliant images then...

This picture has been made as a gratitude. It was taken last week in the island of Tinos. Tinos is the island I visit each year as a pilgrimage; it is a promise I made a long time ago..
I feel grateful and blessed for so many things in my life...
My gratitude also goes to this man who has been my teacher and mentor the last years. Radical life change is hard. Changing a lifetime of thoughts and patterns is also hard. However, Wayne Dyer has helped me change the way I looked at things and now the things I look at, change.
Life has always taught me this: IF you are willing to change, IF you are willing to listen, IF you are willing to accept, YOU CAN! Wayne Dyer confirms it to me every time I apply any of his quotes.
Sadly he passed away last August and I've been thinking........now that things are getting really bad around, why now? Now that humanity needs people like him most...And then I had the answer in front of me: the legacy he left is huge...anyone, ANYONE willing to make a change CAN just listen to him on Youtube, read his books and meditate.
When things are getting well there is no point...Timing is right and as he always said: " There is no such thing as luck or accidents in this purposeful universe. Not only is everything connected to everything else, but no one is excluded from the universal Source called intention. And genius, since it’s a characteristic of the universal Source, must be universal, which means that it’s in no way restricted. It’s available to every single human being. It certainly can and does show up differently in every single one of us " . This is the challenge and of course I shall take it. Will you?
