Doel near Antwerp (Belgium)

This is an infra-red image taken in the 1980s. Not printed originally as it looked a too-unprintable negative ! But I got this by scanning and working on it. InitialIy I forgot to tweak it to black and white* so it had a strange hue to it .. which I actually quite liked. Of course it looks menacing and bleak but it actually was like that ( near Folkestone, Kent ) and it was the way I hoped it would come out. Nuclear waste ??

* I've now converted it to B&W and it's enhanced the grainyness of the image. Which I like even more :-)

The 'Fallout Serial' is an homage to this great german shortfilm:

It's called TAG 26 [Day 26] and you can watch an excerpt here...

TAG 26 at english Wikipedia.

Maybe it dries quicker if downwind from the nuclear power station. Dungeness, Kent UK

No.37604 heads 7C21 away from Nethertown station.

Whatever one's opinion on the reprocessing and burial of nuclear waste it certainly creates an interesting rail scene around West Cumbria.

'When we look up at night and view the stars, everything we see is shinning because of distant nuclear fusion'

Whilst looking back over some of my astro images I came across this one and probably one of my favourites - The milky way above the coastguards hut at Hengistbury Head.

It was so clear, perfect for the magic of the night.

Probably spelled that wrong but don't particularly care enough to look it up...practicing editing...sucking at it so far, but I'll get it...eventually..

In the midst of war and nuclear threat a sunrise like this can remind us of what an explosion would look like. The omega effect is the cause of this mushroom-shaped sunrise reminiscent of a nuclear bomb.

The José Cabrera Nuclear Power Station (better known as Zorita) was the first nuclear plant built in Spain, next to the River Tajo.

No, not some experimental car from Ford, this decal is on the side of a AIM-26A Falcon missle.

The AIM-26A was the only guided U.S. air-to-air weapon with a nuclear warhead, and were retired in 1972. Sweden also used these, and retired theirs in the early 1990's.

NS 1199 Had the honors of taking a nuclear waste train off the NS Brooklyn Dist. and onto the UP after a night layover in A&S with active guards around the train, here the train is curving into New Haven, MO as it passes by a grain silo looking over what I assume was a shop now someone’s residence while UP SESSV 21 sneaks through the small town

The Nuneaton - Leicester line doesn't often see nuclear flask traffic. For this Crewe - Shirebrook move, I must say I could have thought of several apparently shorter routes, but here it is on its way via Leicester, with 66301, the FNA presumably for some fettling (it was made at Shirebrook). Narborough Station looks on with blank eyes.

(Albert Einstein)

Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way.

P.S.: Die Kamera-Uhr stand auf Mitteleuropäischer Sommerzeit. Korrekte Ortszeit war 19:46 Uhr... ;)

Rise and Fall of the Undead:

They say it's true

You've heard it said

You can't kill something

Already dead.

Well that's nonsense.

Yes, I call bluff!

There's tons of ways,

if you're good enough.

Show us your trick,

technique, or tool

To kill those wombats

And make it cool.

When they return

Not quite alive,

Fight til they're gone

Or DA5.
