Hundreds of environmental activists marched 250 kms — from Dhaka to Bagerhat district in south-west Bangladesh — in four-days. Their aim was to raise enough awareness and make sufficient noise to stop a 1,320 megawatt coal-fired power plant from being built at Rampal, 14-km north of the ecologically rich and sensitive Sundarbans.

一滴水紀念館
一滴水紀念館是日本已故文豪水上勉之父水上覺治於大正四年(一九一五年)在日本褔井縣所蓋一棟日式木造古屋，並透過台日多位熱心人士、苦力群志工協助，因水上勉一生承襲日本『滴水』禪師宗思想，崇尚珍惜萬物理念，為紀念這一份因緣，及移築過程中所有熱心人士、志工每人所付出之小如一滴水之心力，凝聚完成此跨國移築心願，故命名為『一滴水紀念館』，此建築於94年於日本拆卸運至台灣淡水後，歷經五年時間，終於98年底於淡水和平公園重現。

The Rampal power station, also known as the Maitree Super Thermal Power Project, is a proposed 1320 megawatt coal-fired power station at Rampal Upazila of Bagerhat District in Khulna, Bangladesh. It is a joint partnership between India's state owned National Thermal Power Corporation and Bangladesh Power Development Board. The joint venture company is known as Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company (BIFPC). The proposed project, on an area of over 1834 acres of land, is situated 14 kilometres north of the world's largest mangrove forest Sundarbans which is a UNESCO world heritage site. It will be the country's largest power plant.

石碇老街
石碇位在石碇溪與烏塗的交會點，很早期即開始發展，昔日皆以種植包種茶起家，亦是坪林、深坑、雙溪一帶茶葉的集散地點，自從北宜公路開通後，石碇地位即被坪林取代，這裡的百年豆腐店、特殊的吊腳樓建築，以及不見天街，都是遊客必到的景點。老街裡的百年老鐵舖，叮叮噹噹的打鐵聲，則為老街更添一份古樸的風采。石碇東街是目前全台灣碩果僅存的不見天街，房屋就懸空在河床上方，僅靠柱子支撐，仔細一看，原來石碇的房子均是採用當地溪石所建蓋而成，石碇里以東街、西街最能顯現石碇昔日的繁華風貌，由石碇溪萬壽橋往西為西街，向東則是臨烏塗窟溪興建的東街；西街是最早發展的街道，為運輸茶葉的輕便道路，沿街多半為土桷厝建築，高達二、三層樓，是當時熱鬧富裕的象徵，目前石碇國小前的集順廟廣場，則是當年茶葉批發的集散場所，里內並擁有百座廟宇，堪稱為是全省廟宇最多鄉鎮。
