The "Ragged" leader on this southbound manifest that notes make me think is NS 125 (Knoxville, TN - Macon, GA) is southbound through Austell, Georgia behind a C40-8 that looked good ... a few years ago. Along with not having AC, the poor crew was stuck using "2-1 and 50" air conditioning for the trip, two windows, one door and 50 mph. Hell in July in Georgia.
NS 125 races south for a short while until hitting a wall of traffic with an epic consist. Lead by a CP SD9043MAC, a BNSF ES44DC, and a FXE SD70ACe, the train made a great chase target on a beautiful November afternoon.
Op 9 april jl. organiseerde de Museum Buurtspoorweg de 'Dag van de verbrandingsmotor'. De stoomlocomotieven bleven binnen en de dienst werd uitgemaakt door diesellocomotieven en de Wismar Railbus. De hele dag werden de reizigerstreinen gereden door voormalig NS locomotieven, en samen met de rangeerlocomotieven NS125, NS145 (beide oersikjes) en de NS259 werden er locparades en rangeerdemonstraties gehouden.
Bijzonder was het gastoptreden van de NS162 van de gelijknamige stichting. De Stichting 162 vind de komende twee maanden onderdak bij de MBS, waarna zij zullen verhuizen naar Museumspoorlijn STAR. Door de aanwezigheid van de NS162 kon een unieke line-up worden gehouden, zoals op de foto te zien is.
