Pleased to present you with a brand-new variety of Ranunculus.

Aurora, ‘Pon-Pon’ Ranunculus, hail from plant breeder Biancheri Creations near San Remo, Italy, along the Ligurian coast, which is known in the floral world as the “Riviera of Flowers.”

Some call them Italian Ranunculus others Dutch…

Pon-Pon Ranunculus; simply stunning!

This is a completely new type of ranunculus.

Truly unique and very trendy due the multi coloured and ruffled flowers.

Huge round flowers and thick and sturdy stems.

The Assorted Pon Pon Ranunculus flowers are swirled with a mix of colours creating a wondrously playful effect.

These whimsical Ranunculus flowers are native to Asia with ties to mythology and medicine, the Ranunculus flower symbolises radiance and dazzling charm.

Take care, be safe!

Have a lovely day, M, (*_*)

I haven't knitted a new sweater for a couple of years, but I've been given lots of mohair and some interesting stuff like this, so I'm tempted!

The Novelty Lounge has been at this location in Oneonta, New York since 1970. The sign looks unchanged since 2013.

Flat Iron District. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for that place; rather than give our wedding guest tchotchkes printed with our names, we gave them Cow Moo canisters. After they folded I wanted to buy one of those big letters, but Thor Equities decided to charge a ridiculous premium price.

Hey, everyone! Many novelties ahead!

Lelutka will be releasing 4 strong and beautiful new faces at the main stores on January 15th. As many of you may have had already seen, the new heads are amazingly done and very versatile. Today I'm wearing Sasha, and soon I will be showing you Zora, Irina and Paxton as well.

Another exciting news are coming from Doux and Addams. A new collab of them brought us this beautiful hair and outfit, which match up perfectly. It's avaiable in both main stores.

I hope you like the result of my shooting today.

Big hugs and stay safe!

Image shot for Macro Mondays' weekly theme "trinkets". I'm still getting the hang of macro photography, and not completely happy with this image - the lighting and focus. Any hints and tips appreciated. Perhaps I don't have enough patience for creative macro.

I can't find out when this theater opened but know that it was in operation in Paris, Idaho in 1948 and had seats for 340 people. I found one old photo that showed it had a marquee and a vertical "Novelty" sign. The roof fell in many years ago so it is surprising that the building exists at all. Is it my imagination or can you see a strange face in this facade?

This is the yarn I spun from Loops March batt of the month club. I added a few snippets of novelty yarn from my scrapbooking stash.. and Steph sent a little bag of sequins to spin into the yarn! Yay more sparkles!!

I LOVE how it turned out!! The colors are just amazing.. it sparkles like crazy and the shredded money is just cool looking!!

I think I'm going to crochet this into a large pashmina sized shawl with a medium brown corrie as trim and fringe.. and this as the middle and fringe. I think it'll look super sweet!!

Steph is so amazing.. I can't wait to see what April brings.

This theater In Paris, Idaho once had seats for 340 people and a marquee with the name "Novelty". There is a website that claims it is still open but the roof collapsed many years ago and it is abandoned. To me, it looks like a face pleading for help.

We will be out of town for a few days, so I hope to catch up when we get back.

What’s the need of visiting far-off mountains and bogs, if a half-hour’s walk will carry me into such wildness and novelty.”

Stunning flower in lovely colours

Everyday I have the pleasure and privilege of working with beauty.

It is a voyage of discovery, working forensically on flowers, new things every day.

Nature at its very best.

I love Ranunculus, densely layered, and this bloom opened beautifully, not always evident, their stems are extremely delicate and do tend to just collapse before the bud can open into a gorgeous voluptuous bloom...

With love to you and thank you for ALL your faves and comments, M, (* _ *)

On 29 October 1989 43068 was recorded at the rear of a Kings Cross to Edinburgh service departing Cambridge. Due to late delivery of the 822xx DVT's and Mk4 stock from Metro Cammell a batch of eight Eastern Region HST's were converted to operate with the new Class 91 locos. 43068 has since seen operation with Virgin Cross Country followed by a period of storage before being taken on by Grand Central and now sees operation with EMR on the Midland main line.

I’ve been meaning to buy a bunch of cocktail stirrers to harvest for the mini Adult water drinks stuck on top, but until my recent influx of Integrity Toys dolls came I never had a reason to get it for my mostly sober dolls lol.

Apparently some stirrers came with the miniature drinks be removable but none of mine were, they were glued in instead.

So for the past hour I FINALLY got around to using my new Dremel to carefully cut off the drinks. I then dragged the drinks across a metal file to even out the bottom so they can stand properly.

I was initially annoyed I got sent doubles of drinks, but after breaking two of them I’m glad I got a decent variety.

As a side note, these are passably 1/6th drinks, but the ones without glass stems tend to look oversized since they’re the same size as a lot of 1/6th vases lol.

Supposed to be good luck but features a black kitty inset.

I almost came home with one of these, which were bearing Bromeliad plants on their backs, but came home with a tomato plant instead. A nice day out at one of my favourite nurseries.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend !!

The snow is currently piling up in Boulder, and there was an unexpected snow day for both me and the kids. Now that all the shoveling of the walkways and driveways is complete, what better to do than post a thought of the landscape to come, when freshly fallen snow blankets the workaday hills with a sense of novelty and the sublime. What is usually Bear Peak can transform (for the overactive imagination) into the dwelling place of mythical characters.
