No-no-Notorious. Notorious. Ah. No-no-Notorious.

I can't read about it.

Burns the skin from your eyes.

I'll do fine without it.

Here's one you don't compromise.

Lies come hard in disguise.

They need to fight it out.

Not wild about it.

Lay your seedy judgements.

Who says they're part of our lives?

[CHORUS]

You own the money ;

You control the witness.

I'll leave you lonely.

Don't monkey with my business.

You pay the prophets to justify your reasons.

I heard your promise,but I don't believe it.

That's why I've done it again. No-no-Notorious.

Girls will keep the secrets (uh)

So long as boys make a noise.

Fools run rings to break up.

Something they'll never destroy.

Grand Notorious slam (bam).

And who really gives a damn for a flaky bandit?

Don't ask me to bleed about it;

I need this blood to survive.

[CHORUS]

That's why I've done it again. No-no-Notorious.

[CHORUS]

[CHORUS]

That's why I've done it again. No. No.

That's why I've done it again. No-no-Notorious.

That's why I've done it again. No-no-Notorious.

No-no-Notorious. Yeah.

That's why I've done it again. No-no-Notorious.

No-no-Notorious. Yeah.

That's why I've done it again. No-no-Notorious.

No-no-Notorious.

… this miscreant is lying in wait in our garden, by the half open kitchen window, biding his time, keeping an eye on the leftovers from the roast chicken we had for lunch.

When he finally makes his move, it will be so quick he and the chicken will be gone before we even realise he stole in.

Notorious, 15th century sailing

There’s no mistaking when a Blue Jay is near. They are notoriously noisy birds with songs consisting of a large variety of calls, the most popular being a harsh “jeer” and a loud “Jay! Jay! Jay!” Blue Jays have been known to imitate calls of hawks. By nature, they are very aggressive and territorial. They squawk to warn predators to stay away or to call their flock. They protect against hawks, raccoons, cats, snakes, squirrels, falcons and even humans from their nests. At other times, the Blue Jay sings softly like a songbird.

Blue jays are intelligent. Captive blue jays have been known to use tools. When a piece of food drops outside of their cage, the birds have been known to make tools out of strips of newspaper to push the food within reach. They are able to store their food underground for later use and they are able to warn when danger is near.

In Florida, the Blue Jay is found in a wide variety

of habitats other than the populated areas where they are

so well known, including agricultural environments,

hardwood swamps, hammocks, pine flat woods, mixed forests, and sand hills.

I found this Juvenile in my backyard. Lake Wales, Florida.

One more shot of this handsome guy, because I can't resist and I like this pose. We did not see him again after this day, so he must have moved on to points north. Glendale, Missouri

Kestrel's are notoriously difficult to get close to. Even those on wires usually take off if the car stops, let alone if a door opens. I was wandering around Belle Glade (agricultural land) when this male kestrel flew up over a building in pursuit of a red-shouldered hawk that had wandered into the kestrel's territory. I managed to get off a few shots in the second or two he was visible. The male kestrel is recognized by its bright orange/brown tail, and blue/gray wing feathers. For whatever reason, I see a lot more females than males and was excited when I managed to photograph this one. (American Kestrer - Falco sparverius)

Notorious for its elusiveness this Cetti's Warbler was skulking deep in lakeside vegetation at Blashford Lakes. Its loud song exploded into the air at times punching way above its weight.

"The dapper Spotted Sandpiper makes a great ambassador for the notoriously difficult-to-identify shorebirds. They occur all across North America, they are distinctive in both looks and actions, and they're handsome. They also have intriguing social lives in which females take the lead and males raise the young. With their richly spotted breeding plumage, teetering gait, stuttering wingbeats, and showy courtship dances, this bird is among the most notable and memorable shorebirds in North America... Female Spotted Sandpipers sometimes practice an unusual breeding strategy called polyandry, where a female mates with up to four males, each of which then cares for a clutch of eggs. One female in Minnesota laid five clutches for three males in a month and a half. This odd arrangement does not happen everywhere and often they are monogamous, with the female pitching in to help a little."

After getting his fill of suet, the Rose-breasted Grosbeak moved to our birch tree, his recent meal still in evidence on his bill. Gendale, Missouri

Trillium Lake sunset taken last night.

I saw clouds forming last evening and so decided to head out and see how it looked up at Trillium Lake. I got there and I was the only one there and the clouds looked more than promising.

Then something happened that I'm still not used to, but is happening with more frequency lately. I was unloading my gear when a car drove up. Some people got out and one fellow came over and said...

"Are you Gary Randall?". I said no and went on my way. : )

Actually, it was my Flickr contact David Gn and his friends. It was nice meeting them all. They were seriously great and friendly people and it was a pleasure to meet them.

Notoriously difficult subjects these (or at least that's my experience), simply because they are so incredibly active & never seem to stop still. I was lucky here, as this one paused for a few seconds to preen, so I was able to bag a couple of shots.

Notorious tram line in Vienna at the Reumannplatz stop

"Im Sechser wird's einem nie fad." - "You'll never get bored on tram line 6."

This is what an old lady told me one day when suddenly two women in the packed tram started shouting at each other in a very foreign language - a quite common everyday experience in this tram line.

The car you can see in this picture is of the type E2 and was built in 1989 by Bombardier in Vienna.

It's my favorite time of year for birds, when you never know who's going to show up. I missed getting a shot off at a Lincoln's Sparrow last evening, but a Rose-breasted Grosbeak visited our suet feeder this morning and stuck around for a few minutes. I never even knew that they liked the stuff... Glendale, Missouri

My sister said she was fostering some kittens and asked if we wanted to have one. It didn't take a lot of convincing.

I think her official name is Nancy Noodles, or just Noodles, but someday she may be Notorious.

Northern Gannet

Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve

Notorious for its fog I visited this location on three separate occasions and twice it was foggy and once it was raining so I never got the quality of photos I would have liked. This one is fairly noisy due to adjustments made for the fog. Northern gannets are monogamous and have only one chick a year. The only time they spend on land is during breeding season.

Silver Spotted Skippers are notorious for rapid flying/movements, an whilst the females are a little easier to locate/sneak up on, the males are even harder to track! So i was pleased to fire off a few shots of this male, before he flew off out of sight, at the usual fast pace!

The notorious noxious weed that invades most meadows and ditches in Iowa. They are quite pretty, but once they get into an area, tough to get rid of . . .

Still enjoying the summer months with short trips around the region, lots of golf and family time. The summer months is when I take a break, set the camera down and enjoy!

I'll be back at it again soon!

Simla is notorious for its hordes of boisterous langurs and monkeys who roam the mountain sides and are occassionally a great nuinsance for both locals as well as tourists. Many monkeys have learnt the trick of snatching spectacles or other items and returning them in exchange for some food item.Once they had snatched Sanjay's spectacles when we were on a walk and returned it with the sides chewed only after we gave them a packet of roasted grams (chana).

On this visit there was a tall Deodar tree just outside our dining room window and a whole horde of around 20 langurs occupied it as soon as the sun rose.I took a few shots from inside the window with the window pane safely between me and the langurs. This is Mum, Dad and baby enjoying some family time.:-)

Having a nice quiet dinner in Queen Elizabeth park, I couldn’t resist pulling the camera out when the clouds cleared and presented me with this view.

Notoriously secretive & difficult to approach, the Hawfinch is a tricky subject to photograph. Staking out this drinking pool proved to be a bit of a waiting game, but our patience was rewarded in the end.

Hungary - June 2017.

The Baltimore & Ohio had some notoriously questionable engineering practices, one of which was the junction between the main line and the Salisbury branch at Salisbury Jct, near Meyersdale, PA. The branch meandered along the Casselman River for most of its mileage, but with less than a mile to go, climbed a rather steep grade up to meet the main line, which was itself climbing away from the Cassleman. If the junction had been placed a mile farther to the west, the branch would have just followed the river until the main line was at the same elevation and the branch would have been essentially gradeless. There may have been a very good reason for this alignment, but I've never seen evidence of it.

Dragging coal trains off the branch was a little challenging as the hand throw switch at the junction was placed exactly where most of an 80 car train would be on the grade. You could stop to get the switch, and get restarted if the conditions were right, but it was a bit of a struggle. My normal procedure was to leave the train back at the Amish Farm, just shy of the crossings in Meyersdale, run up to the junction with the light power, open up, and maybe even deposit some sand on the rails on the way back down the hill to get the train. This made stalling unlikely, and also added a bit of time in the process, because we'd normally be on overtime by this stage in the day. Win-Win.

On this particular day, my plan failed miserably as the lead AC4400 quit loading right at a very inopportune time, and we stalled within sight of the switch. A Hyndman helper was dispatched to drag us out, and in this view, the crew is arriving with a pair of SD50s to get us moving again.
