No-no-Notorious. Notorious. Ah. No-no-Notorious.

I can't read about it.

Burns the skin from your eyes.

I'll do fine without it.

Here's one you don't compromise.

Lies come hard in disguise.

They need to fight it out.

Not wild about it.

Lay your seedy judgements.

Who says they're part of our lives?

[CHORUS]

You own the money ;

You control the witness.

I'll leave you lonely.

Don't monkey with my business.

You pay the prophets to justify your reasons.

I heard your promise,but I don't believe it.

That's why I've done it again. No-no-Notorious.

Girls will keep the secrets (uh)

So long as boys make a noise.

Fools run rings to break up.

Something they'll never destroy.

Grand Notorious slam (bam).

And who really gives a damn for a flaky bandit?

Don't ask me to bleed about it;

I need this blood to survive.

[CHORUS]

That's why I've done it again. No-no-Notorious.

[CHORUS]

[CHORUS]

That's why I've done it again. No. No.

That's why I've done it again. No-no-Notorious.

That's why I've done it again. No-no-Notorious.

No-no-Notorious. Yeah.

That's why I've done it again. No-no-Notorious.

No-no-Notorious. Yeah.

That's why I've done it again. No-no-Notorious.

No-no-Notorious.

This species of Gamebird is more commonly called a "Partridge" and is a non-migratory member of the Pheasant Family. This well camouflaged bird is notorious for raising large broods and can often be found setting on a clutch of up to 15 eggs that she will incubate for 23 - 25 days.

In the winter months they are often found foraging in tree branches for buds and winter berries especially when the ground is covered with snow. They grow winter-scales on their toes which provide them with temporary snowshoes for the winter season.

This gamebird is our most common and widespread in North America.

There’s no mistaking when a Blue Jay is near. They are notoriously noisy birds with songs consisting of a large variety of calls, the most popular being a harsh “jeer” and a loud “Jay! Jay! Jay!” Blue Jays have been known to imitate calls of hawks. By nature, they are very aggressive and territorial. They squawk to warn predators to stay away or to call their flock. They protect against hawks, raccoons, cats, snakes, squirrels, falcons and even humans from their nests. At other times, the Blue Jay sings softly like a songbird.

Blue jays are intelligent. Captive blue jays have been known to use tools. When a piece of food drops outside of their cage, the birds have been known to make tools out of strips of newspaper to push the food within reach. They are able to store their food underground for later use and they are able to warn when danger is near.

In Florida, the Blue Jay is found in a wide variety

of habitats other than the populated areas where they are

so well known, including agricultural environments,

hardwood swamps, hammocks, pine flat woods, mixed forests, and sand hills.

I found this Juvenile in my backyard. Lake Wales, Florida.

This photo was taken at the same location as the previous photo of Futami bay and port. This is a northwestward view from Denshinyama (電信山).

Smaller islands in the sea are Nishijima (西島), Hitomarujima (人丸島) and Hyoutanjima (瓢箪島) from left to right.

The straits, width of more or less 800m, is called Anijima Seto (兄島瀬戸) or the Anijima straits, which is beautifully blue but notoriously dangerous due to the fast current as observed in the photo.

Regno Unito, East Sussex, Beachy Head, Autunno 2015

Beachy Head is a chalk headland in Southern England. Its height made it one of the most notorious suicide spots in the world. The chalk was formed between 66 and 100 million years ago, when the area was under the sea. Then the chalk was uplifted and after the last Ice Age sea levels rose cutting into the chalk to form the dramatic cliffs. The headland was a danger to shipping. In 1831, construction of a lighthouse began on the on the next headland west from Beachy Head. Because mist and low clouds, Beachy Head Lighthouse was built at the sea level. Beachy Head is well known for the closing scene of Quadrophenia, where Phil Daniels shoots a scooter from the top of the cliffs.

I shot this with the Olympus E-M1 in the Meatpacking District of Greenwich Village, New York City.

It's important to remember that in the mid sixties it was illegal for this kind of art using the F word to be sold or displayed anywhere in New York City. I remember those days. In one notorious case, on January 1, 1966, the NYPD raided the offbeat Peace Eye Bookstore in Manhattan and charged it's owner, poet Ed Sanders with obscenity, charges he fended off with the aid of the ACLU. Just having books with that one word (among others) in them was cause for arrest and jail time.

Today the ban the book/burn the book folks are back in force attempting to legislate what books are in our public libraries and public schools. Books on race, gender, and sexuality are at the top of their hit list.

Taken near Kurrajong, NSW.

The Channel-billed Cuckoo lays its eggs in the nests of other large birds such as the Australian Magpie, the Pied Currawong, and members of the crow family. Unlike many other cuckoos, the young birds do not evict the host's young or eggs from the nest, but simply grow faster and demand all the food, thus starving the others.

They are notorious for calling all night long during the breeding season. This species is sometimes known as the Storm-bird.

Notoriously difficult subjects these (or at least that's my experience), simply because they are so incredibly active & never seem to stop still. I was lucky here, as this one paused for a few seconds to preen, so I was able to bag a couple of shots.

After getting his fill of suet, the Rose-breasted Grosbeak moved to our birch tree, his recent meal still in evidence on his bill. Gendale, Missouri

Coucals are notorious nest raiders and they go tree to tree, branch to branch trying to eat other birds' chicks and eggs. But it was a surprise to see this bird catch the snake and carry it to another tree.

Summer time is nesting time for most Indian passerine birds (Raptors nesting season is around Dec to June here generally). The bird carried it to several trees before it disappeared in one of them. A classic hide and seek mode that many birds adopt. They check if any predators are following their movements or are nearby, so they move to several false locations before they move to their final one.

I think the snake is a common Painted Bronzeback - a non-venomous snake found around wet areas. This was a juvenile, but then adults Bronzebacks itself are also quite small. I was quite disappointed not to get the full shot of the snake, but then the area was full of bushes and there was no clear shot.

What do you think? I don't think this is a good shot, but more of a behavioral capture shot.

Notorious tram line in Vienna at the Reumannplatz stop

"Im Sechser wird's einem nie fad." - "You'll never get bored on tram line 6."

This is what an old lady told me one day when suddenly two women in the packed tram started shouting at each other in a very foreign language - a quite common everyday experience in this tram line.

The car you can see in this picture is of the type E2 and was built in 1989 by Bombardier in Vienna.

The amazing glacial blue color of this notoriously hard-to-find waterfall in SW Iceland stands out beautifully against the black lava rock and recent snowfall. The image was taken shortly before sunset with completely overcast skies, so the soft winter light illuminated the area.

It takes a 20-minute cross country hike to arrive at a foot bridge over the river. Look up the name of the falls and you'll find more than a few stories about lost photographers trying to find the site. Fortunately I was on a trip with an Icelandic guide. It goes without saying how beautiful this place is. I've mostly only seen summer pictures online, I hope you enjoy this winter view.

Swallowtails are notoriously challenging to shoot because they're in almost constant fluttering motion. But their four wing parts actually move separately, with the forward wings moving the most. So it you focus on the back wings it's possible to capture both their gorgeous color and the lovely flow of their forward wings. This is an Eastern Black Swallowtail (Papilio polyxenes asterius).

My sister said she was fostering some kittens and asked if we wanted to have one. It didn't take a lot of convincing.

I think her official name is Nancy Noodles, or just Noodles, but someday she may be Notorious.

Oume (青梅) city proper is the apex of Musashino terrace or the alluvial fan of the Tamagawa, while Shakujii and Zenpukuji, which are some 30km from Oume, are at the edge of the fan.

Oume is located on the river terrace of the Tamagawa. It has a population of 133 thousands, and 63% of the municipal area is covered with forests. Opposite side of the river bank is a forested park.

It is situated at the mouth of the Tamagawa gorge, along which an old trunk road of Oume Kaidou (青梅街道) that connected Edo (old name of Tokyo) with Koufu (the capital of Yamanashi prefecture) was laid out.

Shinjuku (新宿) used to be a post station town on O(u)me Kaido(u). It is now one of the main streets of Shinjuku, along which famous (or notorious) Kabukicho(u) (歌舞伎町) is located.

Birds are notorious for not being very cooperative with photographers. They flit about often in front of branches or if they are in the clear, they are rarely in a good light or at a the right angle. But every so often they will reward a patient photographer with a stunning view!

Broomhill Station, opened in 1863, served two local villages, Dulnain Bridge and Nethy Bridge (where there was also a station on the Great North of Scotland Line, the station building for which can still be seen). Besides, it carried the timber felled in the nearby forests. It functioned for just over a hundred years before the notorious cuts made by Dr Beeching in 1965. It was reconstructed by the Strathspey Railway on the original foundations in 1977. The stationmaster's house, however, seems to be original. An old photograph of it still exists, and we are told that the stationmaster of 1925-40, William G. Ross, also had a chicken run (see Sinclair
