The San Diego's beloved Northern White Rhino (Ceratotherium simum cottoni) named "Nola" who died 11/22/15 at ~ 41 years of age. There are now only 2 left in the entire world.

Wealthy citizens of Nola Mar will often visit the shrine located in the courtyard to pray and most leave a small offering for the upkeep of the monastery.
