In hopes of seeing Wood Ducks (not), I went to the pond which was covered with sheer ice. This poor fellow had just been chased off by another goose and it skid for about 20 feet. Great entertainment for me, although not for him!

Hard to image that using a tripod to take a photo of this fountain would be a problem, but yes it was... I was told I could not use it by a security gaurd because it was on private property. Oh well... I just walked out into the street (no traffic whatsoever) and took the photo from there!

the black winged kite (elanus caeruleus) isnt a rare bird but for my experience they dont like to be approached by car.the plumage is also complicate for photography.i'll do better next time

While walking the back fields, I wandered into this no trespassing area of this old abandoned farm. There were "No Trespassing" signs all along the fence and on the barn that I didn't even notice. Too focused on the shot, I guess.

My attempt at the "Macro Mondays" theme "Holes".

Another comet, another hole! Perhaps some remember that I have shot these little decorating things before. They are around 1.5 mm in diameter so kinda small to say the least. That‘s why the DOF is really shallow and everything out of it gets very unpredictable (and thus interesting to me)!
