SCHOFIELD BARRACKS — More than 200 children converged on Stoneman Stadium, here, to meet and play with National Football League All-Star football players and cheerleaders, Jan. 27, during the NFL’s Play 60 Challenge. Players and cheerleaders ran football and cheerleading clinics, while the Chicago Bears’ mascot, Staley da Bear, and the Baltimore Ravens’ Poe, led warm-ups and kept spectators and volunteers entertained. The NFL and the American Heart Association teamed up to create the NFL Play 60 Challenge — a movement for an active and healthy generation that encourages kids to play for 60 minutes every day to tackle childhood obesity. Oh Brady, you have joined the NFL and in so doing have fallen into shadow. Since I don't watch the NFL, I will most likely never see you again. Let us remember the good times, like this warm up toss before you beat the hell out of Purdue. Good luck to you, and may your career not go the way of Rick Mirer.
I took this shot 3 years ago. I was looking to see what I have of the stadium and DC type shots. I moved it to the front because of the excitement of the upcoming Disctrict Convention starting this Thursday. All these seats will be filled on Thursday - Sunday.
(VIEW LARGE) Rows of seats to infinity and beyond. Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego home of NFL Chargers. I was mezmerized by the georgeous patterns the seats formed here; the graceful lines formed everywhere I looked, maybe I've been on flickr too long. Before converting to sepia I HDR'd this because the contrast from sun to shade was too strong.
If Lola were an athlete in the NFL she would be a tight end rather than a wide receiver. She can block, guard, tackle, and catch but with 81 lbs of lean muscle she does not change direction with the facility of a Jack Russel or a Border Collie. She powers through obstacles. She is fearless. In barn hunt competition she is known to move hay bales to get to the prize. In agility competition she will leap over any barrier with ease and negotiate the the seesaw with aplomb.
The evening was splendid. The match was fascinating - including overtime. And the atmosphere was overwhelming. Such a great event!

The LFC (Lego Football Conference) Champions have been crowned! The Metro-City Sharks picked up the Vince Legobuildy trophy last Weekend. It was a tight game but hot offense beat tight defense and the Fabuland Beasts will have to try again next year.
