In honor of Leonard Cohen's new album, Old Ideas, here's another photo of him I hadn't put up yet. The photo has driven me crazy for sometime because of the hat shadow but in a way, it makes him look like a hyper-literate supervillain who works for the 1930s newspapers during the day (and flies by night). Not to say that Leonard is anyone's villain, definitely not mine.
As to the actual album, I like how stripped down it is quite a bit...no sax or synth and Leonard's vocals are a focal point and boy I feel like he can still charm a girl. There are some back up female vocalists too (AKA competition) but we'll overlook that because we can always hear Leonard over their commotion ;)
No, really, their voices are ok...some may even say lovely.
